with the vacuum line disconnected, 43psi

With it connected and the engine idling, 36psi

Or you could put the stock reg back on, which will give you the right pressure all by itself :)

stock reg is buggered, hence the changing of the reg

and isnt the vaccum line needed to make sure it adjusts the pressure according to boost?

What sort of gague are you guys using to measue the fuel pressure?

The reason I ask is I am currently after a fuel pressure gague that I can put inline with my fuel line and leave it under the bonnet. I dont want some wanky chromed up thing that you mount on your bonnet, just something small and simple.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Nick

You can get the small underbonnet fuel press guages from almost any performance workshop that sell malpassi's and efi pumps.

I'd run it at stock fuel pressures, like DumHed has suggested. benjf43, that information is incorrect when referrencing to the S14/15 workshop manuals.

34.3 or 2.45 bar psi is stock fuel pressure

http://sr20det.nismo.org/sr20detreference.pdf

Just goes to show, it depends on where you get your info from as to what answer you will get. Just because a web page looks good, doenst mean its telling the truth.

Nissan workshop manual says 2.991kg or 43.4psi and 2.55kg or 36.3psi, it appears DumHed aint so dumb ;)

don't worry, I won't post values unless I've checked them in the Nissan manual, or in this case, remember them due to setting them on so many peoples' cars!

Depends what power you makin and how much fuel you require...

for mild mods 150-180kw or even a bit more, stock pressure should be fine, once you get near 200 and are pushing the standard injectors to their limits it's a good idea to up the pressure a bit to help them out.
