How to make a 'door to door' race event

Recommended Posts

thought maybe some people may know

please no trolling!!

mate came up with an idea for a 1 make race, door to door, but as always we and the group know nothing about this part of motor sport. so before they get too carried away with the idea i thought i'll get some actual info first

what requirements, regulations are required to hold such a race? specific race rules? guidelines? do you have to be a proper car club before any of this is possible?

it will be a private 1 make race, not a series.

track in questions is Wakefield Park.

Just want info on how to hold such an event so any info with people that know people that have held similar events, any info is appreciated.

theres pretty much a series ready for you to jump straight into, the MRA - super TT at wakefield

"Super TT racing is aimed at club level competitors who wish to exercise their engineering ability as well as driving skills, and is intended to be a circuit racing Group for highly modified cars bridging the gap between modified production based, and space frame competition vehicles. "

we have a pretty strong field of silvias running in Outlaws up here in QLD, under very similar AASA licensing

best of 5 in a field so far? far better to just run in an existing series than try and reinvent the wheel with your own private day. insurance nightmares etc. they'v done all the hard work for you..
