Death on Mount Nebo

Recommended Posts

Those familiar to Brisbane who enjoy mountain runs would know about Mount Nebo, though tonight a man in an MX5 unfortunately lost his life.

Those who have gone up enjoy the drive, though sometimes these things unfortunately happen.

What are peoples opinions on the mountain? have you gone for a drive up there before?

Link is for a crash near Mareeba

Fatal traffic crash, Mount Carbine (Mareeba District)

As for Mt Nebo , Its one thing to say drive to the conditions wich is what each and every one of us should do , but how many times , has conditions been right for a little fun , OR how many of us have had a fight with a partner , family member , or had some sort of frustration , with any sort of issue life can throw at us . But Decided to go for a drive and clear our heads .

We go out , starts of a nice drive , then comes a corner you know well you push the foot in a bit harder and you get the car into a little side ways action . You fist pump and go hell yeah , so the next corner you go into you do the same but a rut , or animal or changd surface condition causes the car to act in such a different manner , thus causing a accident

No different to going for a drive after a fight / bust up / depression or any other type of distress , the drive may calm you down but then as you concentrate on your bad things you forget about the control of your car and thus causing an accident

In my own opinion , if a single vehicle accident happens on a bendy road up in the hills , there is obviously more to it than just bad driving . Its sad another driver loseing his life to a mtor accident , but Thats Life , how many times have we made bad choices in various conditions under different senarios that has left us with a bent car ????

every one is different and every condition is different

just my 2 cents
