Kabeer Ishaqzai 0 Posted April 25, 2013 yeah it looks pretty good but you can find vinyl wrap in a lot of different colors and textures 3M makes some pretty good ones you should take a look at it if you are thinking of wraping something

TN 15 Posted May 2, 2013 I got some left over Is it ok to vinyl wrap intercooler piping? I'm not sure how hot it gets but it might bubble and melt the wrap
chris_c30 3 Posted May 2, 2013 Not gonna hurt anything don't think it would get hot enough to bubble but no harm in trying

TN 15 Posted May 3, 2013 got the day off. had some left over carbon wrap from the steering wheel. thought i'd give it go wrapping other shit inside the car. earliest memory of using this shit was in primary school when the teacher made us use contact paper to cover our books. f**k i was hopeless at it. the thought made me cringe.... wrapped the gear knob then wrapped other random shit

greens14 5 Posted May 3, 2013 (edited) Yea it's good stuff. Easy to go overboard though. I did my stereo surround and a few other bits and pieces a while ago.....came up great. Edited May 3, 2013 by greens14
S15 sxytime 31 Posted May 3, 2013 The 3M stuff is awesome to use , I did the integra dc2r front lip thing, wrapped it with 3M carbon wrap and it looks great. Also covered the silver/grey sections of my door trims with it a while ago, might do the stereo surround next.
blingcommander 278 Posted May 3, 2013 should spray it with a clear coat so it looks a bit more real
saadn 0 Posted May 3, 2013 should spray it with a clear coat so it looks a bit more real It wouldnt come out smooth as the wrap is textured. However I would love to see it done.

slammin_180 1 Posted May 6, 2013 You could 2pak clear it. You'd need to build it up the block it back and finish with a buff
sssturbo 1 Posted May 12, 2013 how easy was it to apply? did you use a heat gun or hair dryer? from the pics looks like it fits around pretty good, i take it the adhesion is good?
TN 15 Posted May 12, 2013 a hair dryer will make the adhesive sticky and the vinyl soft so you can pull around the edges. use a credit card to iron out the bubbles. go to a hobby store and get one of them precision knife.
