[Update] Carbon Vinyl Wrapping- i love this shit!

Recommended Posts

got the day off. had some left over carbon wrap from the steering wheel. thought i'd give it go wrapping other shit inside the car.

earliest memory of using this shit was in primary school when the teacher made us use contact paper to cover our books. f**k i was hopeless at it. the thought made me cringe....

I've still got a big role of it lying around. Thinking about wrapping my lower luxury spec front bar lip on my s14a?

Same still have loads left. I reckon that would look good with s2 front bar, since its usually black anyways

Was thinking wrapping my type x lip as well but not sure whether it would look good on midnight purple?

How does one remove that b trim on a 180?

They seem to be clips that hold it in mostly. Mine were busted off when the panelbeater reapainted by car. They had to stickaflex them back on. Chances are you will break them trying to get it off.

You may be able to get a screw driver etc on the inside of the panel from inside the car after removing interior trim parts etc. Then try and lever the clip a bit and get it out. Panel beater told me he had to break them as there was no way of getting them out in one bit. This was on my R33 tho. You can just have a crack and if you break it, stikaflex them back on and it will still look as good as it should.

Think u will find it works good with a heat gun. Soften the vinyl then stretch to shape the holes.
