So I took my car to my usual mechanic and got the timing belt and a brand new starter motor put in. Starts super quick now which is good.

He also pointed out that my "Aragosta Coilovers" are cheap chinese copies since they had no branding/stamp on the base of the tube. Only "Aragosta" written on the damper adjustment knob. Anyway the front left is on its way out now and I'm in need of a replacement pair. As far as I know I need to use R34 Gtr coilovers since they have an "eye" hole to mount them but I'm am not 100% sure

Seen a bloke in a Cressida cruising alongside me and my mates as we we're cruising back from the Mighty Car Mods/Fat Fitment meet in Brisbane a few weeks back, He took a few snaps of the cars as we went through the Clem 7 and I didnt think I would get to see any photo's until I got tagged in this one :)

Very clean! wheels suit it perfectly. If your still confused about the coilovers, non turbo 34's use the same coilovers as turbo R33's :)

What's it like with 10s on the front?

Turn in response is smooth and the grip is awesome, slight scrub on full lock but I've had a look and there is none to very minimal wear on the inner mud guards.

I've chosen to get mine rebuilt, thanks anyway :)

So a few things have happened lately, first and foremost is I got caught up in a RBT/Licence check/Vechicle inspection station. This is the first time I've ever been pulled over believe it or not... for anything.

First thing I did when I got pulled over was click record of my iphone. What didnt go to plan was my mates ringing me so I had to start the recording 3 seperate times!

The cop was nice about it and he understood. Long story short he was very fair. Said my pod filter had to be enclosed and my front wheels could not be outside the guard.

Said the height appeared to be ok and couldnt believe that I've never had a ticket before.

Long story short was I got a $110 fine and 1 point for wheels protruding from the body and unenclosed pod filter.

I could even drive home which was good. Which brings me to my next stage:

The car is currently off the road getting the front coilovers reconditioned as a knock appeared in the front left. While thats happening I've been sussing out a Topstage carbon fibre pod filter cover for GTT but I'm yet to recieve and email back with measurements for the intake hole. New wheels are on the cards too as I would like to go 1 step down from freaking awesome as to try and legitimise the car a bit.

I'm thinking XD9 18 x 9 +20 all round. I'm picking up one today from a mate to test fit and I'll see how she goes.

Thanks for looking guys

Hey mate, I'm not sure on the exact make/model but I can confirm that the frots use an eyelet shape for the mounting point. This was apparent in the Gtr coilovers I believe

Alllllriiiighhhtttyyy!!!

Another update:

Went into to my mechanics on Friday to get the brakes and rotors fitted. Ran into a few minor dramas, nothing serious but smile.png

There is a heat shield thing around the hub that needed trimming for the rotors to fit properly.

So we managed to trim that right back out of the way.

We started by fitting the rears first, simply because it was a bolt on affair.

The front mounting points on the other hand can accommodate Brembo's from factory. This is a 10mm bolt hole I believe, but the GTT rotors mounting point is larger, so it would need to be drilled out and what not. That's why we did the rears first.

Now, the following pictures are of the rear brakes only simply because my Brake Master Cylinder cannot fuel the 4 pot awesomeness that the fronts provide. I'm in need of a GTT BMC but I'm not sure what the bore size is on that one, so if anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated.

Now that I've rambled on... onto some pictures of the goodies biggrin.png

So I decided to not be a lazy SOB and get off my ass and polish the car and tidy her up a bit last weekend. I'm pretty happy with the result.
