But turn flow isn't legal if you cut the reo. or if the car has an airbag.

turnflow for legal performance

Just curious as to why you used that cooler core to do the kits? Wouldn't a core with both outlets on the passenger side work out better?

Why would it be illegal if you have an airbag ? This is the first im hearing this, where does it state this ?

why's that donny, heat soak?

yeah its just in a position where its a harder to cool the cooler, b harder to cooler the radiator and C 9 times out of 10 you cant run a good clutch fan and shroud = shit result.

But turn flow isn't legal if you cut the reo. or if the car has an airbag.

we dont cut the reo, only some light trimming on the front bar vents that come out the back heaps, our cores tuck up nice behind the reo and mount to the center upright and 2 tags underneath.

good sized core, flows well, well designed, easy to get and most people already have a cooler like this so some times we just do the piping for them only and they use there own core.

not to sure about this either but i can garrantee if a cop pulls you up they will let you go for your turnflow cooler kit

that's good that you can fit it without cutting the reo.

the chances of getting a defect with a turn flow is very minimal but if you alter anything in the crumple zone. they need an engineers certificate. thats why after market bull bars and things like that come with certification to say it won't alter the srs system. its a stupid rule that they have going.

But if anything the front mount will make the crumple zone better, as it will take some of the load. more time = less impact

donny - even with a 75mm intercooler core, 50-60mm rad, you can run a stock clutch fan and custom shroud/rb25 fan and rb25 shroud.

memz - crumple zones arent as simple as "the more shit you have infront of you, the more crumple zone you have'...and regardless of whether it was/is the same or better, technically because it hasnt passed adr testing, it will never be legal. non structural modifications within the enginebay/cabin are fine, but anything external is very hard to claim as legal. hence why exposed bonnet pins are illegal, bozo style exhaust pipes etc.
