aznNRG 0 Posted July 28, 2012 (edited) Hey guys, my mates supra has a problem that on idle it just revs by it self, he has changed the throttle position sensor (TPS) and that has helped alittle bit but its still reving, what could b the issue? thanks Edited July 28, 2012 by aznNRG
MidnightMods 45 Posted July 28, 2012 it needs to rev to stay on.. more info is needed, but look at things that control the idle, like the idle control and the throttle body

MidnightMods 45 Posted July 28, 2012 sounds like a vacuum leak. does it do it when its cold, or warm, or only one. did he change anything lately on the car what mods the more you tell in the first post the better the chance of an answer is
aznNRG 0 Posted July 28, 2012 Its a non turbo 1993 model supra, The car is completely stock he has not changed anything at all, besides the TPS which sort of helped fix the problem but not entirely. This problem occurs when its cold as well as when its warm, it doesnt matter.
0zhiph0p 0 Posted July 28, 2012 My fj20 did a similar thing it would just rev up but to like 7k and was a massive leak as the manifold bolts were loose as f**k. So maybe check to make sure everything's tight.
