HOW TO: Read A "SPEED" Dyno Graph

Recommended Posts

Here's some ALPHA OMEGA inhouse data that we often use and wanted to share :)

We put up an article that might be helpful to those looking trying to compare different setups but can't because the dyno sheet is done against SPEED insead of RPM.

Some background info and stuff like that is here, as well as details on how to use the lookup table:

http://www.ao-ps.com...eddynograph.php

And the lookup table is here:

Hope that helps :)

Here's a recent example we came across on these forums:

DRE20 has a pretty cool setup: a built sr20 with precision 5858 has these approx figures:

- 4th gear run

- 22psi @ 4900rpm

- 310rwkw @ 6000rpm (max power)

- 260rwkw @ 7500rpm (max RPM)

i always wondered about the rpm and why its in speed not rpm, also for those viewing this thread, my s14a has 300zx z32 gearbox, lightweight flywheel, nismo gtpro 1.5way lsd. rims were 16inch 205 wide stock s15 alloys with rays lightweight wheel nuts (every gram counts!)... not sure what else i can tell you, most of the engine specs are in the thread Alpha Omega posted up a few posts ago. :)

If you have a specific setup you want to work out, post up the details and we'll do the math for you :)
