respraying intake pipe

Recommended Posts

pretty much i want to make it look stock here is what my engine bay looks like now. plan to respray it black

IMG_0668.JPG

is there a question being asked or are u just telling us what u want to do ?

nicely made intake pipe tho

is that a N15 pulsar 70mm throttle body with tomei adapter plate on the inlet manifold i see??

i also spot no air flow meter what ECU is it running? i also spot a little map sensor bolted on a bracket on the inlet manifold

i personally dont like the Tomei adapter plates they make for the N15 throttle body

i prefer to weld on a new flange directly onto the inlet manifold and die grind the inlet entry to suit the new throttle body

good to see some decent work being put into non turbo sr20's

i wanna see a non turbo rear wheel drive sr20ve in a S chassis car making at least 120 - 140kw at the rear wheels

that oil breather hose coming of the rocker cover to the intake pipe why did u have it running like that ? should of made it so that u could shorten the breather hose

primer coat then we sanded it with hard sand paper and then soft ones

first coat of black we sprayed 3 coats, one every 5 mins

last one was the clear coat sprayed one coat before we put it on

also this a autech sr20de, yes it is a 70mm throttle body, i am currently running a HKS F-con Vpro ecu, i also dont know why my oil breather pipe is like that but i will keep in mind about making it shorter, my car does about 150-160KW cause of the pod, intake and full HKS exhaust system... i want to run it on the dyno, just dont have the time yet

Looks sweet as. All u need is black silicone hoses and completely enclose the pod. Will look stock as f**k

Are u sure the car is making 150 - 160 kw at the rear wheels or are u just guessing ?

its probaly not but autechs come at 147kw stock ? am i wrong, this car has some nice mods to it already that pushes it up a bit more, i might be wrong but i was just assuming since stock is 147kw, i wont know for sure until i dyno her, but right now dont have the time and money... :(

Don't get mistaken between power at the fly wheel and power at the wheels

U will be lucky to be making 140kw at the wheels

I would say your car is closer to 90 to 100kw at the wheels

The 270 duration cams will be your biggest help for making power

I'm guessing it's 12mm lift ?

Still wouldn't be any where near 140kw tho

Intake cam standard is already 270 duration on the autech

Exhaust is 256

Weird but that's what it is.

Oh yea autech are 11mm lift on both

Well they are bigger. I searched the net and some spec sites show it to be that but Donny was saying g duration was a bit less so not 100% sure what it is anymore lol

hmm wonder why ppl arnt using them as cams in turbo motors, the cant have alot of lift or u would need valve springs

Big duration small lift isn't the most responsive way to make power
