S13 5 stud conversion Help

Hi all

Yes I have try to post in the 5 stud conversion thread but it will not let me.

 

On the rear of a s13 can you uses R33 GTR hubs and backing plates ?

Or do only the R32 hubs and backing plates fit ?

If you can uses R33 GTR is there any think i need to know to get it to fit?

as far as i know you can't use the GTR hubs as the axles/shafts are bigger than the standard silvia ones.

Ok then I should be ably to uses the hand brake cable off the R33 GTR should be the same as a R33 GTS-t ?

no idea. i can doublr check the hubs/shafts at work monday, but got nothing to compare the cables to. would assume they would be the same

Got told today that r33 got the same rear brake backing plate as a R32?

Any one here know??

sorry i forgot that the rear end was taken out of the GTR i have here.

 

the GTS-Ts would have the same backing plate

R33 GTR hubs definetly DO NOT fit s13-s15 half shafts. The half Shafts in an r33 GTR are larger. I found this out first hand AFTER I installed r33gtr rear hubs on my 180. The backing plates from an r33gtr DO fit s13-s15s however, and the r33 GTR handbrake gear is the same r33 gtst...

Damn those conversion kits are cheap, +1 on if someone has used them before... would save me re-drilling my r33 rotors...

yeah they seem to be alright and cheap... would probs work out better then getting 4-5 stud converter spacers..
