What are peoples opinions on coffee?

 

I've cut out my morning coffee and I'm practically falling asleep until I can go for a walk at lunch time... got no energy :S. I can barely focus my eyes and this is 4 days since making the change.

 

I still have one at the end of my lunch break but due to some anxiety problems spiking up again I need to cut down to 1 a day.

Nothing wrong with coffee mate.

 

I make sure I have mine before 4 so it doesnt affect my sleep.

I used to have at least 5-7 'normal' coffees a day when I first started getting up at 5am for my job. I was the same, could BARELY hold my eyes open till the afternoon.

I kept going like that for a while, and then slowly just tapered myself off them.

Now I have anywhere from 0-3 a day, and don't need them to stay awake at all.

It's just something your body has to get used to over time.

If you're healthy, eating correctly, and GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP, then you shouldn't really have a problem.

Im trying to kick my daily iced coffee for normal coffee and struggling hard.

 

Like I think about iced coffee most

Moments I'm not drinking it. Been two days and I don't know if I can make it through tomorrow

love me a good cup of hot coffee. regardless of the coffee i will enjoy it

 

i generally keep it to 0-2 a day

 

i actually saw a interesting docco on coffee in Australia on the weekend. interesting fact: next to oil, coffee is the most intonationally traded product (according to the documentary)

Ha yeah I saw that too. It was funny how govt turned pubs into coffee/tea places overnight.

 

I decided to get back on it... more reasons to stay on it than to quit it.

 

2 max on weekdays but for some reason the piazza doro I have at my weekend place is so much more addictive..

I've probably had one or two coffees in my life. Never needed caffeine to keep me awake, if I'm tired IRS because I haven't slept enough. Smells good tastes shit to me so I've never had to cut down :lol:

Nah Jk. Usually have about 2-5 a day, Depending; Not so much that I am tired, Just gives me a kick in the morning, Keeps me going, And is tasty as all hell. Since giving up smoking, Its more like a smoke to me; Relaxes me :lol:

 

Would never give it up. No point.

 

Don't wanna be tired? Find your threshold for sleeping and stick to it; You'll never be tired; Whether it be 2 hours a night of 10 hours a night.

I have one a day. After that I only drink water. Lost 2 kgs in one week hehe. From not having coke/pepsi etc. Doubt I'll lose much more than that though. But I've started doing a 6km walk most days. Will try tomorrow but will see as Monday is always the biggest day at work so I'm generally pretty f**ked from work.

Green tea and water! I still have the odd coffee here and there. But if I need a kick I'll take a Vitamin B or Berocca

that is the most retarded thing i have read today, hell this week

 

its almost on par with the morbidly obese chain smoker at my work who doesnt drink coffee because he reckons it can cause cancer/high blood pressure...

That same site has banners selling an 'all natural insomnia tablet'... Like really..

 

What makes me laugh is the minority who seem to think that having light cream over full cream or one sugar over two sugars impacts the whole way you body metabolizes/processes food/drink etc... Seriously, there's barely any difference at all.

I never see the need for it. It's an expensive habit if you buy a few every day. Sure I have it every now and then but If i feel tired I just have fruit. Fruit helps me focus a lot more than a coffee

Sorry to burst you free coffee bubble but Nescafé tastes like piss, you can have it.

Do you drink, smoke, eat non-organic vegetables/hormone free meat?

 

All of the above are far far far worse for you, than caffeiene.

 

And i get free coffee made by a "barista", no nesquik here mofacker.

 

Heck, eating more than 500g of red meat is worse for your health than drinking coffee.
