Thinking of getting a hoist for home

Recommended Posts

Looks good my mate has same hoist and we installed ourself but that was in a workshop. Concrete needs to be a certain thickness for it to be safe did you measure that?

We have two of them at my work, only thing I can say is they are damn slow lol, but I'd love one at home!

We had some new ones put up at work not long ago (not sure of brand) but the whole area needed to be dug up and thicker reinforced concrete had to be laid, you might want to check yours if you havent already of course.

Yeah the concrete was just thick enough. I've had up to about 1700kg on it and so far - all good. You wouldn't believe it but my Cosmo is still too low for the hoist :( I have to drive the front up on wood to get the arms under there - still better than ramps etc though.
