Extending some front LCAs for a friend using my sweet china special 200A AC/DC tig welder. The torch is absolute junk.

Could you have reclocked the turbine housing to run the silicon bend straight to the intercooler?

Ahhh not really, it was already made up for my old turbo, but that turbo died so I just reused the piping and added 90degree joiner to suit the td05

Not car related. But this is a lever I knocked up yesterday for my spin bike to enable me to go from having no resistance to a f*ck load of resistance in an instant rather than having to screw the adjustment knob 5-6 revolutions. It's for high intensity interval training (HIIT) :P

When I want resistance I just push on the lever down which pulls up on the adjustment knob and clamps the brake on, and the spring loaded pin flys across to keep it in place, then to release it I just pull the pin and the lever returns to its original position, works a treat :)

Nice work mate,

How did you go cutting up the merge bit?

I had a few c clamps on mine to try and hold it still while cutting on the drop saw but still had to do a fair bit of work with the grinder.

Yeah that was abit of a headache to start with lol... I ended up making a new vice back for my bandsaw with drilled holes and bolt up abit of square tube so that goes inside the pipe and tighten it up and it clamps it against the vice.

Abit hard to explain. Might be able to put up a photo of it if you want...

Here's a few pics of the setup I made for my bandsaw.. Just tighten up the bolts and it clamps the pipe in tight..

What do you guys use for exhaust hangers when making custom exhausts? im making some blast pipes and dont have the same size bar as the original hangers and they wont fit.

12mm rod fits snug in the rubbers and won't slip out. Bend it to suit or weld some flat bar on to the tube and then the rod to the flat bar for the rubber.

Yeah 12mm bar for sure. I cut out squares of exhaust tube to reinforce the area. I welded all round and even drilled 5 holes in it and plug welded these holes. Overkill? Quite possibly :-P
