No statics yet cause I'm a pussy.

Trust me, crossed my mind to slap on a stock turbo and drive Tuesday. But I sold all of my stock turbos :( heaps gay. Do also nead to replace the waterpump as its a waterfall but meh! God damn.

Was really hoping to hold onto the microtech for the map sensor but if all else fails I'll be going something else.

After talking with Trent again, there is a chance the knock may have been from the ecu firing at the wrong time. First things first, I'm gonna get the injectors tested, and have a fiddle with the mircotech like Joey said. If its no bingo then send it away for a checkup.

Ryan has a stock 25 turbo you should put most of it all together and come down here the day before and we'll get it going dude.

Get injectors flow tested

Dump oil and look for metal filings

f**k off the Lebtech and get a nisstune

Smash in a water pump with new tensioners and timing belt

Could end in the same way as the other motor, tune would be out of wack big time with that plenum.

I was going to say may have been firing at the wrong time giving a knock.

Send the microtech away man they are good when running right.

Check with trent about going nisstune on it before deciding if you do, he doesn't want to tune my 33 with the nisstune.

Musk and Ryan, Was dead set on going stock for Calder until I realized I don't have hot side cooler piping anymore.

Exactly what I want to do Kriss. Except I'll give the microleb another shot as I don't want a gay.f.m

Do you still have those pulleys for sale?

Cheers Josh, I think that's probably the best option.. Saves me breaking more stuff haha.

Adaptronic select plug in ecus are map sensored and plug straight in! They are 1000x better than lebtec.

The microtech will work fine for what he wants once it is sorted.

Whats the point of spending more money on another ecu when he can just sus out the issue with what he has.

Jamjam enter the clubby ;-)

Okay, to all you car smart people because im dumb....

Car makes this noise. Sounds kinda like a gilmer drive/ whiney/ scrapey. But the noise comes and goes. Ran the car for half an hour today and it only made that noise for a minute or two. But it always seems to come and go. And it had a slight knock to it sometimes which could have been mistaken as an engine knock earlier.

New timing belt, pullys, water pump and go from there?

Decided again today, that theres no way I could part/ split/ sell it haha.

I cant watch the video but feel the water pump for movement?

Could be a problem there.

Either way water pump and cam belt and stuff and sort the microtech and it'll be all good.

Pull the top timing cover off and have a look. A noise like that there should be obvious signs of damage to the belt. Sounds like it's a little loose and is working it's way back and forwards along all the pulleys and hitting the cover and shit.

I'm going with water pump is f**ked, you already said its leaking, so I would replace that and the belt and you may be lucky.

The water pumps can sound pretty fn bad, when the bearing go in them

And don't your dare think about stripping this, EVER!!!!!

Edit: the vid finally worked for me and yeah def check the belt like protius said, it sounds like a belt rubbing as well ;)

So the microtech is fine! Its the injectors. One of the brand new Denso injectors is faulty causing the misfire.

Super annoying as the first set of injectors I bought ended up being gtr injectors, so tried to do the right thing and buy brand newies. So now I'v just gotta find out if it's fixable / send it back to the U.S. Gay.

I found out what that weird noise was and fixed it. Waterpump leaks heaps and has play so that's probably the knock. So will order a new oem product.

Then back to chequered... Things are looking up.. Kinda.

No dice.. You need that to fix your car!

Cheers niggs! Surprisingly not too bad though.. Doing it myself and looking for bargains is the key.

are the denso injectors fluro yellow in colour? just asking as i had to get an rb26 going last week that someone had fitted into a 32, along with these "new" denso injectors, long story short, after chasing wiring issues etc for a missfire found two of the injectors not working, bit of a tap while powering them up got them working, but it still misses randomly
