Tell me about your blown engine

is it true, since rb25's have weak ringlands, that free reving them can crack them?

oh k, ive heard it heaps :S but i aint no engine builder lol... whats causes cracked ringlands? i destroyed pistons 4&6 at the same time... drove it for another 2 weeks pooring smoke out, and the bores are still smooth as... lol

This is working out well for my research.

I know that hotter cylinders are more prone to detonation, so i would assume that any cylinders at the toward the firewall onmost engine will be more prone.

Donny have u found many bigend failures due to det.?

I had number 1 let go on my Sr, lean out, and being end of fuel rail, assume that's why it was no.1 to fail.

no. 6 ringland went on my 26 when I was giving it a hard time with the g-tech. Expensive procedure that was
