the Black Engine Bay Masters!

Recommended Posts

got pulled over in my old VL Turbo one night on the highway, apparently he could hear my screamer pipe.

lucky I'd already thought of it and had the T04Z low mounted, and the gate mounted upside down off the rear housing ;) cant see a thing once the intake + cooler pipes are all back on!

thats the whole point!! you can clearly see the Z32 AFM next to the airbox, but its black, and if you dont know what your looking at, no one is the wiser, boost controller is in standard spot were factory one is and all vacumme lines are black.

dont know if your saying looks pretty stock to you as in good job or as in you dont believe it has all those mods? the NSW crew can back me up few boys have seen it in the flesh and at the tuners.

nope, everyone asks the same question, when i just had the intercooler and exhaust etc i didnt notice any difference in lag over standard front mount intercoolers, When i put the cams in i lost some down low drivability, but not much, and more yet again when i put the bigger turbo in.

Tyre is well behind the piping. Looks good, have a similar plan for an s14 when I get my licence back. I have vowed never to get defected again.

BIG respect, that is nicely done. The black satin is a nice touch - it's like your engine is wearing a thousand dollar Armani suit :)

wow!

where the hell is everything??

nice work BTW

^ that looks super clean thumb.gif but it looks like it would be umm fun on a rainy day ^

does it have an in cabin brake booster or run no booster at all?

haha thanks guys i cant take full credit for this one i was helping a buddy of mine

brake booster delete

windshield wiper res delete

brake lines ran inside cabin

fuse box in glove box

PCM or ECU depending on what you want to call it is tucked underneath the floor board

all other res either in the very front along the the radiator frame rail or hidden on the reverse side under the bumper

just a normal wire tuck but alot more attention to detail

this was by far the hardest tuck ive done but you see the results that come with it

thank you guys for all of the positive feed back it really means alot

(is it possible for you guys to be law abiding and do something like my friend and i did?)

silly question where is the Air intake 0_o i want a few more pics if you have them so i can look at whats different to my bay!!!

Has anyone here sprayed their intercooler and/or piping black? What kind of paint do you use, heat proof stuff I mean?

it would be your best bet as its in the engine bay and there is no lack of heat in there.

even if its not 100% necessary, i would anyway just for good measure.
