Time Attack Leader Board VIC

Recommended Posts

5th gear sure does get a workout at PI. With my old setup (230kw and 245 tyres) It did a 1:48 and was flat out in 5th gear for 3 corners! So much fun. Turn 3, hayshed and final turn. That's why its my favourite track smile.png

Went down on Sunday the 6th. Cut my time down a lot without any changes to the car. So from 2:01.2 to 1:56.9. The practice really helped but I kinda hit a peak early afternoon and failed to improve upon 56.9 for the last few sessions.

Times updated!!!

Really want to get to Phillip Island and maybe even Winton for some supersprint weekends.

Not going to happen this year, but 2013 could be the year for some interstate track time!!! :shades:

If you are coming that far, Phillip Island is that much better. At least, I prefer it.

Yeah Phillip Island is up there on my track wish lists!

I read that most drivers rate their all time favourite tracks in Australia as:

1. Bathurst

2. Phillip Island

Seeing how Bathurst isn't a full time circuit and not so easy to get onto, Phillip Island is a must do!!!

I will be keeping an eye on the PIARC website for some 2013 events!

Driving the Island is a unreal, when you go at the end of the day all you can think about is when you can come back, its hard on cars if you do a few of them.

Finally get to post in another states time board!!

Was out at Phillip Island on the weekend for the Australian supersprint championship in the Bilstein Heasmans S14.

Had a bit of rain on saturday which limited the ability to push and learn the track. Managed a 1:47.3 in the first dry session with a lot of traffic before having a "small" off over Lukey and taking a quick trip through the the gravel trap. No damage other than a couple of flat spotted tyres.

Sunday bought fine weather and i got down to a 1:44.5 in the first session, once again battling a bit of traffic.

Second session i finally got some clear laps and pulled the time down to a 1:42.98

Unfortunately our boost controller failed in the next session so the day was cut short.

Pretty happy with the time for a first run on the track, but i know there is still more time out there.
