General chit chat thread!

Recommended Posts

I've not had a problem with white lines at all, and I rode a bike as my only form of transport for like 2 years.

Wet manhole covers are all like fk youuuu, especially the ones on roundabouts. ARGH!!

Loud pipes save lives. Don't think they noticed you even though you have loud pipes? Well, they're obviously not loud enough!!

Part of my multi pronged attack to not get hit. Includes always riding with my highbeams on during the day (normal lights at night), and never owning an all black bike, no matter how pretty it looks.

Lucky I didn't spend all the money from my 180 and got a ute, 6 days of effing rain! This doesn't happen in brisbane. Anybody braving the rain on their bike?

^ That's a horrible feeling mate, I'm pretty sure everyone has had it happen a few times - sounds like your mate wasn't lucky enough to get away with it.

Hopefully he is insured etc?

We just sold our CBR last week, parents didnt like the idea of me or my brother riding it, too dangerous for their liking.

Had some pretty good fun on bikes but i guess it goodbye to all that now.

Jelous of all those who ride. Gonna miss it lotssad.gif

You can always pick it up later mate - I am reconsidering my decision to have a bike as a daily commuter, rain & hot weather suck!

My wife and I share a car at the moment, I think the crowning moment in my decision came after having free run over the car for 2 weeks while she was away on business. Going from brand new Euro luxury goodness back to the bike is a bit of a raw deal!

Looking at picking up a little golf/run around shortly and just sticking to weekends w/the bike.

Ah well, it's not for everyone I guess.

I know exactly what that's like, and what you are feeling.

It is the reason why i sold my last bike, and i've regretted it ever since. Definitely hold onto your bike for the weekends..smokedrink.gif

^ Without a doubt!

Gaz - spending two weeks in my new Audi (that I barely ever get to drive) drinking coffee on the way to work & not having to worry about being killed by middle aged soccer mums in oversize Mercedes 4WD's was quite a relaxing experience!

Getting to work in the morning not feeling like a rabbit that just escaped a hunt is pretty cool, haha
