So i have mixed opinions regarding my front bar.I have some free time tomorrow & want to cut the front bar so the FMIC has no air flow restirctions.

Currently my front bar restricts some airflow directly blocking the cooler..

Need some opionions , Wat u think ? No going back once cut...

ps if it goes to the shit gives me an excuses to slap a vertex kit on  Also dont say buy a front lip LOL too hard to find

anth, your car is immac. i wouldnt cut it!

if you want to drop the temps look into a radiator

A radiator upgrade isnt going to drop IC temps/improve IC air flow.

I wouldnt cut it only cause it still is in good condition but i think creating more air flow is always a good thing so maybe get an old bar to hack up and paint it but it depends if you really care much about destroying a good bar....

Or go find a aero front bar that will give you more flow and improve the look IMO

Don't do it, cut front bars look ghetto as hell + more popo attention. Save up and get a kit/jap spec front bar.

Buy one of those High Spec Front Lip things.

Paint it the same colour as your car.

Cut the front bar out like you want.

Looks awesome. There is a picture of a blue s14 with whit r33gtr wheels kickin around somewhere with it.

Cut front bar with no lip looks povo.

N1 vents maybe?

Never seen one on a s14/s14a before, would look pretty sweet I reckon... Different!

I've got N1 vents on my Type X front bar. It doesn't really help with airflow as it's part covered by the front reo  But it looks fkn hot!

Cheers,

Andy

Yeah if u cut it - you car will attract more attention due to the fact that more intercooler is showing.

Yes, it will help airflow - but the worst part is the pipe to the TB - that gets the hottest.

The cooler is cool no matter what. Unless its like 36 degrees, but if the car is being driven, air is flowing through.

If you cut it then it will be WORSE for cooling, the air will just flow around the cooler rather than like now where the stock bar guides it in.

you would be best to chop it neatly at the top and bolt your number plate up higher.

Plus Chopping it looks so GHAY!!!

Cutting it like that s14a on the left looks so ghetto spec :puke:

N1 vents or leave it as is! Or even Hot Roads vent (although I think is for the 180sx, but would still fit I reckon). Once again, I've never seen that done to the s14/s14a.

Cheers,

Andy

If u really want to cut it, just cut that middle part out...

Dont cut a massive hole out..

Yea the bottom of the bar actually helps with aerodynamics. If you cut out the bottom you'll get worse airflow like Hawker180 said above.

That and it looks like aids without the bottom.. I say if you're going to cut it just cut the middle beam out and fibreglass it flat over the cuts.
