Adobe Illustrator

Recommended Posts

I have done my fair share of work in Photoshop but I have only used Illustrator on a couple of occasions.

I always thought it was more of a layout program for creating brochures etc but am not really sure what its best suited for.

What are the best things to use it for?

Any good sites for tutorials?

Feel free to post any good work that you've done in Illustrator...

the layout program u thinkkin of is indesign

illustrator is used to create vectors

photoshop uses pixles while illustrator uses points which are calculated (similiar to CAD)

i use it for anything thats hard edged eg. headings, logos, grahic drawings etc but you can also create some awsome artworks with it and even 3d stuff

the programs are ment to work together.. edit your photos in photoshop, create your hard edged work in illustrator then you put it together in indesign

theres almost as much illustrator tutorials on the net as they are for photoshop

im very much a beginner with illustrator and still finding new things all the time but heres a lil something i did a week back while i was supose to be writting a report
