DESIRED CAMBER FRONT AND REAR (IF KNOWN): neg 2 degrees front / neg 1 degree rear.

 

SUSPENSION MODS OR PLANS: Lowered 25 - 30 mm (sydneykid eibach/bilstein/whiteline kit)

 

DESIRED LEVEL OF GUARD WORK? Rather not roll guards....but if have to.

 

STRETCHED TYRES OR NOT: No

 

DESIRED WHEEL WIDTHS: 18x8.0 +30F, 18x8.5 +33R

 

DESIRED TYRE WIDTHS (IF KNOWN): 225x45x18 front / 245x45x18 rear

Hey Ian,

 

I am essentially running 17x7+2 on the front with standard guards -2 deg camber with no problems at all. It would be accurate to say those wheel and tyre sizes are safe. Although why not run 235mm wide tyres on the front wheels?

 

Do you reckon they will fit without any mods?

CAR’S PURPOSE? Street Use + I live in North Queensland so a bit of highway driving, so wear is important to me

 

DESIRED CAMBER FRONT AND REAR (IF KNOWN)? I would only like to run minimal camber on the front, i do a little spirited driving, nothing silly though. And Zero camber on the rear for even wear.

 

SUSPENSION MODS OR PLANS? I have KYB Shocks w/Whiteline Springs to go in. I have also got front camber bolts, rear adj upper control arms and traction rods. I will consider some BC coilovers in the future, and caster arms.

 

DESIRED LEVEL OF GUARD WORK? I'll roll em if i have to.

 

STRETCHED TYRES OR NOT? Yes Please :D maximum width desired

 

DESIRED WHEEL WIDTHS? 9.5 and 10

 

DESIRED WHEEL SIZE? 18"

hey juggs,

I would say you are going to have to lip at least the rear guards due to the wide, high profile rear tyre. You could easily fit those front wheels with 215, and I assume 225 will be fine (even though the wheel will most likely be sitting just inline with the guard. I have no reference for plastic liner scrub or coilover clearance, but you should be fine at a decent height.

 

PS what design are you looking at? Forged Aluminium?

There is no Camber compensation at all.

 

The new version allows you to vary camber as well as spacer thickness for the ones who love spacers (like me) =)

They are currently front 8 inch + 33 and rear is 9 inch + 38 nd the tire size is stated above. The s13 is stock body with no guard work. will only be lowering it as far as 100mm off the ground. But i would like the rims to sit nice and tough.

DESIRED WHEEL WIDTHS: currently car has r33gtr wheels with 25mm bolt on spacers, so effectively 17x9 +5 car has 225 45 17 up front and 235 45 17 rear,

I am looking at purchasing a set of 17x9.5 +12 and would like to know what they will look like in comparison and what max rubber width i could possibly fit under the car on the new wheels.

DESIRED WHEEL SIZE: 17 x 9.5 +12

 

OTHER NOTES: basically i want to know if 17x9.5 +12 will fit on an s13 with skyline 5 stud, and allow enough clearance to run wide rubber.

 

the car has had guard work, and currently runs r33gtr wheels on 25mm spacers, i have zero clearance issues with these but would like to be able to run wider rubber than 225 up front and 235 rear.

SUSPENSION MODS OR PLANS? Zeal c/os – not crazy low, maybe 25-30mm. Front - adjustable caster, camber and toe. Rear – Plans for camber and toe arms.

 

DESIRED LEVEL OF GUARD WORK? Don’t mind rolling them.

 

STRETCHED TYRES OR NOT? No

 

DESIRED WHEEL WIDTHS? 8”

 

DESIRED TYRE WIDTHS (IF KNOWN)? 225

 

DESIRED WHEEL SIZE? 17”

 

OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES? I currently have 17x8 +38 wheels which I want to keep. After some research I think I know what would work but I am not confident. Am I being weak on the fitment? Would the below options work? If not, could you suggest what might?

 

FRONT +38 with 15mm spacer = effective +23 offset

OR

FRONT +38 with 5mm spacer = effective +33 offset

 

REAR +38 with 20mm spacer = effective +18 offset

please help me get rid of theese friggin lancer rim please.ive never had this much space and have no clue at all how i fill them?????(im clueless i understand offset priciples but am dumb as a box)i have the choice of 17x8+33-30mm dish,17x9+35-60mm dish,17x9-4-60mm dish and 17x10+15(90mm dish!!!!!)i may hve to run 4 to 5 stud conversion spacers(for now) I WANT/NEED FAT DISH!i have a s13 silvia main usage pimpn!,occasional street drift(im happy to swap with my other collection of fag wheels to do that)and street lots of street,will use whatever camber is recomended,sus mods coilovers with pillow tops up front coil overs ,coilovers and adj camber arms in rear.strut braces front and back... future plans 5 stud conv(obviously),toe and castor adjust, tie rods and any other toys that i come across .stretch prob not as this kit is f@#ked for low(without killing it on my driveway(found some awesum checker plate the council has donated(beware big holes on footpath not covered in checkerplate anymore!)im happy to got to fibreglass front widebody gaurds if need be(kinda want to anyway)please help......for every lancer hating silvy driver out there.cheers heaps

In that pic it looks like it has flared guards, whats the go? If they are flared you have a fair bit of room to work with and you can pretty much run anything. Your best bet would be to find some rims you like (i suggest checking out the work and volk ranges), post up the sizes and offsets they come in and also some specs on your guards (pics might also help). If you have stockish guards and go five stud, get yourself a set of GTR offset rims. 9in wide with an offset of around +15 should fill the guards, but may require some camber adjustment depending on the hight of the car. If the guards have been modded then you'll need to give us some more info before we can help.

 

What might also help is the current specs of wheels and how they sit in the guards. Ie: 17x8+40 sitting 25mm in the guard etc..

 

You want dish? 5th wheel down: SSR PROFESSOR 18x10j-9/12j-14 5H 114.3. These will give you dish! And if you've got the guards to fit them, then it is your solem duty as the owner of a silvia to buy these and run them!!

225.JPGi have found wheels i want but i have the choice of the 4 sizes i listed in my first post the gaurds are flared (that was a fun job!)they stick out 43mm further than a stock silvia.there fibreglass the quarters are rolled on the inside and un molested in terms of cutting(stock)currently im running 17x7 all round the fronts have 205s (now i got coilovers i can rectify them and rears are 225s.im pretty much figgering rears will take the 17x10+15 with the 90mm dish and fronts i think will take 17x9-4 with 60mm dish?????????????????????????????but as i convinced my lady to buy em if i get it wrong ill never hear the end of it and i dont think shell buy me any more(told her id take her to matsuri japan next november(not hhard to figure out im winning again on that one also hehehe!)with 20 mm spacers the fronts pretty much sit flush but the backs are discraceful as u see.no spacers on back atm and they just fill the original gaurds minus the flares,,,,,,,,,please help ill give u any info u want ,cheers

i cant see the front gaurds lastn for long so will go wide body eventually on front(prob same width tho as current)197.JPG

I @ave a fe3eing your stock guards are gonna cause issues, unless you wanna run 4wd spec ride height. You should be able to get away with the rims you want and then adjust the camber and height to suit but those stock guards are gonna stop you from getting a nice height.
