I have converted a standard S13 CA18DE to a standard CA18DET using the standard turbo.

I have fitted an aftermarket wastage actuator, BOV and intercooler.

The wastage actuator has a 7lb spring.

On gentle acceleration it runs fine.

On heavy acceleration there is a nasty flat spot between 4000 to 5000 rpm.  After 5000 rpm it spins up to red line.

Does anyone know what might be causing this flat spot?
