    Hi have a have cage in my 180 arse end is stripped but want to put seat and inner rear panels back on who can help me cut the 2 holes in it I have fucked 3 panels now 😥 I just cannot get it right and want it to look neat

  3. I first started drifting in 2012 at Winton and since then I have been hooked! In 2013 I decided after a few car issues that I would buy a dedicated track car. After looking at a few options that were available around Townsville, I finally found a car that would suit my purpose. This car had seen better days, only a few years ago it was a show car and now it was a bit of a mess, but I could see the potential. I then ran into a bloke at autobarn who told me the following story about the car and he also had a few photos! The car was purchased by a girl from Brisbane and then driven to Townsville. It had a complete custom leather interior, custom boot enclosure and sound system with an s15 SR20DE with extractors and 3" exhaust. It also had some cheap coilovers. This girl then thrashed it around Townsville creating quite a name for herself! Then she decided to cheat on her Boyfriend and because she loved the car so much he decided to take his anger out on the car It now has the word SLUT etched in the boot, the front bar was trashed and numerous dints were put into it. After that incident it was sold to a bloke who was going to fix it up who sold it to another bloke who was going to fix it up who sold it to me. SO! The plan was to build it in the second half of 2013. Which was achieved, including the build of a trailer! This first post will aim to cover off on this first build so I can get onto the more interesting current build! The first thing I did was strip out the horrible purple and black leather interior. I quickly found rust around the sunroof and dynamat everywhere. I don't know if you have removed dynamat before but it is the WORST! hours and hours of scraping that black tar off the entire interior. The rust was pretty extensive, although i quickly got to work and started replacing it with new metal! I also found that a lot of bog had been used in the original show car build! Here is me adding some more! It was easier and cheaper to just go to a two tone black and purple, so out came the spray cans. And TaDa! From there I started ordering parts and working on the mechanical side of things! MIG LSD! Cut and shut knuckles! (These were modified further from this point, but i dont have many more pictures. New parts started to turn up! Takata Belts! Bride Seats The S15 SR20DE was then removed and a newly purchased S13 SR20DET went in! Engine out New Engine in! I also fitted GKTech Rocker Stoppers, a GKtech fan and an ISC 52mm Alloy Radiator. BM50 master cylinder install s15 front brake and 5 stud install. My new weld in CAMS roll cage turned up from Bond Roll Bars. This kit required me to cut all bars to length and appropriate shape and then weld. This was my first roll cage and took me a good 2 months on and off after work to finish. Props goes out to the blokes who do this everyday! This task was made a lot harder as I made paper templates of all of the joins and then had to cut them by hand with an angle grinder. Big job. Here are the pics! I was trying to get it as close to the roof line as possible as that is how bond had designed it. Front leg fitting Floor boxes for the front legs Fisheyes Roof Cross Seat belt plates Side intrusion bars Completed cage Once the cage was welded in I had to modify the floor pan to get the seats as low as possible on the passenger side. It was similar to this as I dont have any pictures of me making it. I will add a completed one later on I has decided early on that I was going to paint the wheels and cage a fluro/kawsaki green. Thanks to Townsville Wholesale paint I was hooked up with this awesome paint! The Wheels were then primed White base coat Final colour with clear Interior getting an enamel base coat Cage getting primed Under coat Base coat That will do for tonight but here is what it was doing a couple of months later!
  4. Can some one please give me some companies that are known to sr and have experience in engine builds i have the parts i just need the head and the block to be machined. i would like to get to know the company who is going to be machining my motor and ask them a few questions.
  5. ok so i'm at the point where i'm in need of some wiring fingerbanging guy/chick to come and say have you checked this and its 1 little wire or something i've missed and then she starts. So i done the whole SR20de to SR20DET conversion and the 2 wires behind ze headlight bridged (thanks to wizard and his mad soldering skills) now this is all that should have needed to be done to go bang bang but no... issue 1. No power to ecu pin 36 Issue 2. No Fuel pump priming issue 3. Passenger window wont work now... (No its not the amp) issue 4. Wiper is turned on After repairing a few wires from a doner loom (Another thanks to wizard) she seems to be getting spark to all coils and all injectors are pulsing and she wants to start buuuut NO FUEL! the EGI relay seems to be clicking off and on like it should and ive checked every fuse 3 times now after every attempt to fix and my fingers are killing ive tried grounding the thick blue/red stripe wire from fuel pump and that still dont work i removed old pump and replaced with a walbro new cradle and wiring just coz and still no priming. i tried bridging the power wire to fuel pump wire in brown plug but think i hit the wrong wire as thats when the wipers turned on - obviously i disconnected it but its still acting as if its on when its off. Any thoughts of saving me from going insane is deminishing at an alarming rate and would happily accept anyones thoughts or ideas on what possible things i can check PS. wipers and window can go to hell for the moment its winter anyways

  8. Hey guys, ive been furiously thrashing the search button for a clear answer to the above question. Does anyone have a guide to installing a Z32 AFM 'blow through' aka when the AFM goes inb4 the throttle body on the cold side. Wanna know how to install it, how to entend the factory afm wires to reach and what amp/wire to use. how hard it is and if anyone wants to throw their two cents in thats more than welcome.
  9. Hey guys! Searched around a fair bit and have found mixed results on the matter, thought id ask around here and see what you's come up with! I own a 1991, 180sx with a Red Top SR20DET. Pretty much all stockers at the moment... Now when i bought the car about 4 months ago it was producing a little bit of extra exhaust on the drive home and giving off a distinct fuel/oil smell inside the cabbin, nothing too hectic but it was noticable by those who would get in with me. The car drove well and the turbo although stock, came on quite strong from around 2500RPM... Fast forward a couple of months and the smell is still lingering around but now the car is producing large quantities of exhaust smoke. Not just turbo smoke im talking full on smoke pouring out at the traffic lights when i pull up!! (Almost worth the heart ache just to see peoples reactions as they wind up thier windows) My boost pressure has definately dropped and its comming on late around 3500RPM.. From what i can deduce with my very limited knowledge, my turbo is shot and is leaking oil back through into the exhaust where it turns into clouds of smoke... I found oil buildup inside my stock intercooler piping when i swapped over to a front mount.. I am in the process of swapping out my stock turbo and gaskets, and also swapping to braided lines... After flushing my radiator, changing spark plugs and basically giving the car a complete service will i be rid of this pesky problem? Really would appreciate some insight if anyone could help me out... If im on the right track let me know!!! If i missed it completely, let me know!! haha For the lazy readers heres a rehash: -Car producing heaps of smoke, losing boost. -Oil found blown through stock intercooler -Smells like petrol/oil inside cab -Swapping turbo, will that fix the problem?
  10. hi guys and girls decided to start building a sil80 It all started when i bought a mx5 and decided to turn it into a track car after going to a few track days at winton! A few months later a guy wanted to swap for his sil80 and i said yes since i loved the look of it! It had a blacktop sr20det in it that was completely stock!     Hi Guys, Finally decided to join my fellow Nissansilvia brethren and create an account and post Just wanna introduce you all to my recently purchased & daily driven 180 'Sienna' Motor, Transmission, Exhaust & Mechanical. -1992 -Redtop - Non VCT SR20DET -182,734kms -5 Speed - Short Shifter -Pod-filter -3" to 2.5" GKtech Cooler - not return feed so a huge hole in the battery plate -Standard Cat, Removed mufflers & some cannon Interior. -Climate Control - all working condition, gets hot & cold QUICK ! only drama is I can't get half the module illuminated - changed bulbs (out of ideads) -Electric Windows -Black Nismo Gear Knob -Immobiliser, Central locking & Alarm system -Greddy Turbo timer -Drift Button -'Personal' Steering wheel -R32 GTR Front seats Steering & Suspension. -5-Stud Conversion - Not sure whether they're modified original hubs, R33 or Ford - they're a weird setup (hopefully will post pics) -R32 GTR wheels - Bunnings Warehouse Matte Black can job ;p -Standard Springs in Pedders struts - Came with 'G4 Racing' Front coilovers - never heard of the brand but were noisy as f**k Paint. -Hideous Silver Respray - Bonnet and roof sprayed black (86 panda style wannabe) It's pretty rough, not very clean an obvious backyard job.   12. i have a 180sx i have upgraded to a built s15 motor and the 5 speed gearboxs arent holding up any more i am looking to swap to a rb 25 or z32 box but witch way to do is best ive seen some kits out there and im not to keen on putting a spacer between the fly wheel and motor seems dodgey is there a good spacer kit out there? ive been leaning towards the ets kit (engineered to slide) but want to know if there is better ones out there cheers
