    Hey guys and gals I'm in the market to buy a new project and want a new base. I'm looking for either a S14 or 180sx or even a clean as f*ck S13. I have a budget of $1500 'MORE' for the right shell and on it's condition. I know what I'm looking to buy and what I'm willing to pay. and also willing to wait if you not parting for a month or so. I don't want to buy your silvia that's been bounced off every wall at QR and archy or full of rust. Colour or paint work does not matter as long as all panels are straight. It much be rolling I can supply my own wheels if need be but 'MUST' have all panels and lights and most interior and all glass. I'm going to be picky this time around because I'm sick of trying to find the small pain in the ass parts to make it complete. The car gets a lot of attention on car cruises and at meets, granted to some it's always just going to be a ke70 but idgaf, it's a great hills car, a bit underpowered if you have more than yourself and a passenger in it haha, but it handles pretty mint. Just under $14,000 spent so far, is registered and clean, shell has a few blemishes here and there, interior is pretty clean, its done 230,000 km and still putts along pretty well. Price is $7,500 which is very reasonable considering the condition and mods, I am open to offers within reason and will consider swaps for most things. Located southern suburbs of Adelaide.   11. ok so i'm at the point where i'm in need of some wiring fingerbanging guy/chick to come and say have you checked this and its 1 little wire or something i've missed and then she starts. So i done the whole SR20de to SR20DET conversion and the 2 wires behind ze headlight bridged (thanks to wizard and his mad soldering skills) now this is all that should have needed to be done to go bang bang but no... issue 1. No power to ecu pin 36 Issue 2. No Fuel pump priming issue 3. Passenger window wont work now... (No its not the amp) issue 4. Wiper is turned on After repairing a few wires from a doner loom (Another thanks to wizard) she seems to be getting spark to all coils and all injectors are pulsing and she wants to start buuuut NO FUEL! the EGI relay seems to be clicking off and on like it should and ive checked every fuse 3 times now after every attempt to fix and my fingers are killing ive tried grounding the thick blue/red stripe wire from fuel pump and that still dont work i removed old pump and replaced with a walbro new cradle and wiring just coz and still no priming. i tried bridging the power wire to fuel pump wire in brown plug but think i hit the wrong wire as thats when the wipers turned on - obviously i disconnected it but its still acting as if its on when its off. Any thoughts of saving me from going insane is deminishing at an alarming rate and would happily accept anyones thoughts or ideas on what possible things i can check PS. wipers and window can go to hell for the moment its winter anyways

Still with family, need money for this!) What I always say is there's not much point in using the words 'could' 'should' 'would' or thinking about negatives so I decided to just move on as quickly as I can. I searched for weeks online scouring the QLD for registerable 180sx shells whilst keeping a keen eye for my r32 parts :\ I was selling a van, my brother got it for very cheap and gave it to me to sell out of compassion, will never forget that. In the ad i would take a 180sx shell with cash adjustment, this guy had no cash but offered me the shell, which was lucky he kept it off-market while I got the van sold (4ish weeks) Price of shell $1000 ono (UPDATE 15/4/20: The price was negotiated down to $600, and to date I've easily sold 400-500 of stuff, got another 200 to sell along with parts I will be keeping to use like the one piece drive shaft, r200, half shafts, etc) Sold van $3,500, Bought my brothers Honda Civic EK1 - $2000 Registered (perfect for a daily, fuel, weight, fwd safety in rain, etc) Oh and the best part is he left his stereo in there as he has loads of gear, it's only a 300w amp with 2x 10inch subs but it vibrates the glass, your bones and hair on your body at 90% volume Also if my context of time is a bit confusing in this first post it's because I just started this thread after it all happened about 1 month ago, so I will post "progress" in one or two posts after this then time will be live So I finally dragged my brother and my dad along on the two hour drive, and seen the silhouette of the 180 in the driveway as we arrived, I could feel them internally cringing, smashed windscreen, no driver door or quarter glass, grim reaper bonnet hahaha, and etc. Pretty much looked like this bonnet First thing I did was gurney it off, something retarded happened and I musta slipped my right hand being wet or something and the gun pointed at my left hand tearing off 1/2" squared of skin, stung for whole night and day after baha, next best to the old knuckle bash. Here she is at the yard (Location god damn disclosed, no info for potential thiefs -.-) with all that stripped interior taken out and organised. Was as absolute bitch to get on and especially off the trailer as it was 'rolling' without coilovers, uprights wired to the strut tops and sitting on stockies. Like sitting, the wheel arches onto the tyres haha, very hard to roll even with the low weight Came with some goodies, 2L surge tank I am painting at the very moment so pics in next post, with 044 External Bosch, and apparently a 040 in the tank which I will found out soonish. Came with sard FPR, some good looking stereo gear, Bunch of thick gauge wire inc. power, few rca cables, extra relays for thermo and pump etc, all stock relay boxes/fuses and some kind of loom. This weird Boost controller thing? Seems to be a solenoid but no wires? Couldn't be a tee as no adjustment? If anyone knows lemme know Pignose/CA Front bar with lip (Genuine and came on car) The only front bumper I lovee! Here's all the interior, selling the green keeping red UPDATE: Sold most of it, got boot trims on reserve for a guy to trade for sunroof and RH door which I need My first steps are the get the car stripped so I can prep the shell, have got the crossmember off and jesus it's heavy to shift on your own. Guess the car's weight has to come from somewhere. 1 foot of progress ~ 3 mins 3 metres of progress ~ 25 mins and pooped out Finally in haha, you can probably see in the last photo I was going for the shipping container (my uncles but he lets me use back section) where my parts are but gave up and put into the demountable until I can get a hand or strip it down.

So im new to this forum as i've just acquired an s13 180sx 1989 model which was originally a CA18DET, but has been converted to the SR20DET, coming from a BA falcon xr6 turbo, the feeling of the car, the way the power comes on everything is such a big change, and im LOVING IT haha. I swapped it for a four wheel drive which i was not using i got it stock, still has japanese rego sticker, stock air box, stock cooler, pretty much stock except for an exhaust & boost tee! And the grey s15 is ALRYZE on the forums just recently purchased it and its a WEAPON! And the first minor problem, did some rather.. enthusiastic driving.. the end result haha Turbo setup Dummy fitted all the turbo setup Painted the wheels black, chucked on some stockies to go and have a play, doesnt look to bad i dont think. So now ive have full fuel system run which is -8 line from external bosch 044 to the rail which is an aeroflow item with bosch 2200cc injectors Full turbo setup is mounted and dump pipe all plumbed in Tomei 256/256 cams are installed.. and a brand new haltech ps1000 took for an baby drive & the engine has developed a lifter like tick, lifters have been changed but to no avail the sound is still there.. Fuel system all plumbed up Got some type X lights! couldnt be any happier to get rid of those rank other tail lights.   15. hi everyone. the story goes like this ive got a 1997 type x with a standard brake setup (4 stud, abs, BM44...ect) ive bought r32gtr front calipers and rotor and also the master (bm50) off of a mate that took it out of his 32gtr and everything was working fine. ive done the upgrade using gkteck braided lines and ebay special billet hubs. put everything together bled it 3 times and the pedal is rock hard. but when i start the car and the booster kicks in it spongy as f@$k. so i bled it another 2 times with the car running and it seems to have got a little better but still very soft only with the car running... any ideas? Thanks.

My names Riory and i sort of have a thing for 180s This is a bit of a tale of how that love came about, if you’re not competent at reading or simply just cbf, have a little scroll through.. Soon to be lots of pretty pictures Ok guys, I’m tired as funk but have wanted to get a build thread up for a long long while, if not for anything else just for some inspiration. Excuse my grammar/spelling I’m a little bit retarded/sleepy. So it started many, many years ago.. Well about 10 to be precise.. One day i ventured out to a friends house, not aware that my life would be totally flipped upside down that afternoon (que dramatic music). He wanted me to watch some Japanese video but he said it had cars so i was keen. Now i think we can all guess where this is going.. It was a real dodgy looking homemade style drift video through the mountains of Japan.. It blew my funking mind, i had to have one!! So Couple Years go by, and about 6 months before i got my license i found a 94 model 180sx shell that i convinced myself i had to have (build it up in 6 months and drive it for my first car) Now this thing was pretty rough, the guy i bought it off actually owned a goat.. now this thing was an angry motherfunker.. dead set tried to eat my foot, but that’s a whole nother story. This "goat" decided one day to kick ever single panel in on the car. Haha must have been sexually frustrated (we’ve all been there) No biggy, get some more doors and good excuse for wide body. Always loved the s15 front on a 180 (8 years ago there werent many getting around) so decided to try that out for size. Ordered a full kit, along with fg conversion guards and set out finding the parts needed. Looking back at it now, all i can say is good intentions will get you NOWHERE! Bought a vlt in the mean time so i could actually drive. This thing was a good rig! So many bad things get said about vl's (most that i agree with) but.. i got to admit, this car was a hell of a lot of fun. I know, the colours a bit out there, but it kind of suited it.. Got to remember this was 7 years ago lol original bt1 vlt (5 speed x cop) with high flowed turbo. Did some skids, blew some diffs, had many good times. Drove this thing for a fair while while the 180 sat there craving affection. Time came to get rid of the boat and a decent swap came up for another 180 It was auto and not driving at the time as the box was rooted, but it had some good parts and i saw some potential. Within an hour i had a tow truck there to pick it up, got it home by 2pm and had it driving with a 5 speed box by 3.30 haha.

    bought my first sr20 180sx about 4 weeks ago from a car yard, it was broken no rego no roadworthy. im in the middle of the rebuild. opened rocker cover to find that there was a broken rocker arm (has rocker stoppers), the guide and shim for rocker arm has fallen through one has indented in a piston and fell to the bottom in one piece. the other has not been found, not a piece of shrapnel found and also a broken oil squirter. no scoring on crank, bearings rooted. it has an ems 4860 motorsport, a kkr style turbo??, are these any good? I want to take it down the strip when rebuild is complete. what is ideal wheel/tyre size and what do you think it would run? cant put pictures up they are too big:(

    Only signed up yesterday but I thought I would share My ride(s) Started off 3 years ago in a Onevia Brought it As a sr20de Auto, Coil overs and 18" Euro-lines. From there I Did alot of this! Then this So i brought this. 180sx bare shell, most of the interior. It is a bit rough. But perfect new project for a clean street car. Started Preping the shell and was going to make it look all pretty! But ran out of Funds! So i put it together and took it to the track!

    Hi Guys, Finally decided to join my fellow Nissansilvia brethren and create an account and post Just wanna introduce you all to my recently purchased & daily driven 180 'Sienna' Motor, Transmission, Exhaust & Mechanical. -1992 -Redtop - Non VCT SR20DET -182,734kms -5 Speed - Short Shifter -Pod-filter -3" to 2.5" GKtech Cooler - not return feed so a huge hole in the battery plate -Standard Cat, Removed mufflers & some cannon Interior. -Climate Control - all working condition, gets hot & cold QUICK ! only drama is I can't get half the module illuminated - changed bulbs (out of ideads) -Electric Windows -Black Nismo Gear Knob -Immobiliser, Central locking & Alarm system -Greddy Turbo timer -Drift Button -'Personal' Steering wheel -R32 GTR Front seats Steering & Suspension. -5-Stud Conversion - Not sure whether they're modified original hubs, R33 or Ford - they're a weird setup (hopefully will post pics) -R32 GTR wheels - Bunnings Warehouse Matte Black can job ;p -Standard Springs in Pedders struts - Came with 'G4 Racing' Front coilovers - never heard of the brand but were noisy as f**k Paint. -Hideous Silver Respray - Bonnet and roof sprayed black (86 panda style wannabe) It's pretty rough, not very clean an obvious backyard job. The car was originally white.. I wish the previous owner left it white Temporary plans are to throw it back on coilovers, gloss black Ford territory wheels and bump up the boost to 11/12PSI Eventual Plans. 200RWK - T28BB -16/17PSI, Z32 AFM, Full Turbo back exhaust, Upgraded exhaust manifold, S15 or nismo 555 Injectors, R32 or walbro/bosch Fuel Pump & Nistune Full type X Kit (including Spoiler) & interior Respray back to white - hopefully blue pearl in it too Sunroof Tien or BCs coilovers sitting just neat on Volk CE28n's or a set of black XD9's Feel free to throw some comments, opinions and tips etc if ya got some. cheers, xo.
  20. Digital Climate control

    Hey guys, look i know that lots of people have started topics about this but i have a slight problem... well a big one seeing as there are so many faults. i have a 1990 180sx and it has a digital climate control unit from factory. when i bought this car it never worked, ive looked all over it and nothing seems wrong. all the plugs seem to be clipped in properly etc. ive even checked the blower motor resistor but it all seems to be fine. When i cycle through the diganosics system on the head unit it just comes up with nearly every possible fault code which is screwing with me, am i missing something obvious or what!? Cheers Jack.

Just wondering how many 180s there are in sydney cause i do film and i wana do something on a nice built 180 sometime benefit is for me for a short film and you get a free film on it too haha but just wondering cause all i see here is everyones in Victoria were the Sydney people at, only 180s I've seen are ugly fluro colour velside lebo style ones LOL?
