Vehicle Details Year: 1998 JZX Type: X100 Chaser Tourer V Transmission: Factory 5MT Colour: 6N9 KM: 123xxx Price: $20,000 (without rims/seats/roof wing) Contact: 0424 141 211 Additional Details After a lot of thought I have decided I want to look into getting a cheaper daily/newer car. This is my third X100 and easily the best one that I have owned. It has been very reliable and a rewarding car to drive on the street and also the occasional track day. I received the car almost stock and all of the mods/parts/services have been done by myself or with the JZX guys @ 612 Autoworks. Many parts are less than 5000KM old. I am putting up the car as a complete package, but am willing to negotiate removal of parts for a price adjustment to suit a buyer's budget. The car currently has rego up until end of May, however a renewal + RWC can be discussed. Please contact me via mobile for any questions. I am not looking for any swaps unless it is a JZX90 with 5MT + sunroof with cash adjustment. 5. RB25 S14 Daily

K, so after watching Mighty Car Mods and their Cuore, I was kinda tempted to get one. Cheap to buy, cheap to register, insure and fill up and what not. I had a mate working at a car auction place and he said that they had a Cuore for sale real cheap, so I was like "yeah sick, I'll come have a look". Went there, walked around, couldn't find it. I asked a dude and he did't have a clue so I was a bit confused haha. As we were walking back down to the front, I saw a s2 s14 sitting in the yard. I asked the guy if it was for sale and he said it's one of the other employers cars and that he might sell it. Winning! So we went to talk to the dude and he was kinda keen to sell it. Went and had a look at it. It was stock as a rock sr20det. I was super keen until I looked inside and saw it was auto! We did some talking and ended up getting it for $3700. Bargain! The paint was pretty shitty and it had 297,000 on the clock. On the way home from the car yard, Had to take it for a test skid. I couldn't drive it coz I was on my P's at that time. she cut a few loops haha. I was set on doing a manual conversion myself, but I wasn't too sure. I had a s1 r33 in the backyard too that I was working on and my mates and my brother just said put the 25 in the 14. I was intrigued and after doing some research, I found some McKinney Motorsport solid engine mounts. This meant I could use the standard cross member which was nice. No F'ing around with power steering. Ahh, bugger it, too much typing. Here's some photo's of my time with the car. Enjoy.
  6. Hello all, I'm a long time member here, but i have not posted anything for a very long time. I have a 1992 S13 that i've owned for about 14-15 years. I'm the first person to own it in Australia, but unfortunately its been very un loved over the last 5 years. A combination of personal issues, lack of funds, motivation.. you name it, seen this car go unused for a long time. I really wish i had the money and time to devote to it now, but i simply don't have the money and i've lost my interest in cars. The car has been kept under a veranda, but the afternoon sun has managed to do its nasty on the dash and the paint. The roof is probably the worst affected, with the clear coming off in quite a few places, but for someone with the time and skill, it wouldn't be too hard to fix. The dash just needs a mat to cover it up. I'll try to list everything that's been done to the car and what's included. Its been a very long time since i played with it though, so i might forget a few things. I'll update the post later if i think of anything. Engine & Gearbox: Stock, very nice low km's SR20DET fitted. Genuine 90,000 km's. Mines computer. EXeddy 500hp button clutch. Short shift kit. Blitz blow off valve. ARC Aluminum Airbox. Large Hybrid intercooler kit. Fuel pump upgraded to RB20 Turbo spec pump. Modified 3" Apexi exhaust system. Cat is a high performance Tanabe Cat. I have another very large Jun style muffler that i had planned to fit. Its a huge canon with a trumpet tip. I never got around to fitting it, so it comes with both. Suspension, Brakes & Wheels: 5 bolt hubs. R32 4-Piston Calipers on front, with DBA slotted rotors. R33 2-piston calipers on rear. (Whole R33 kframewas fitted) Front and rear calipers reconditioned with new kits and painted gold and red like R34 Brembos. Larger master cylinder fitted. Adjustable rear upper arms. Adjustable caster arms. Heavy Duty adjustable tie rods. Front Camber adjustment plates. Front and Rear Strut Braces Tanabe Sustec Pro Coilovers. Very low and very hard, but the handling is worth it. Its like a go kart! Car is currently fitted with standard stuts. R32 GTS-T wheels, powdercoated gunmetal grey (x4). Two of these are on the front. R32 GT-R wheels (x2) on back, these are powdercoated the same color. Spare front pads included. Interior: Blitz BL Black Light Oil Pressure Gauge Blitz BL Black Light Water Temp Gauge, both mounted in an A-pillar pod. Blitz digital Boost Gauge + Turbo Timer Digital LCD Climate Control (nice bonus from the front cut) Addzest Max2255 double din head unit. Nice classic japanese unit. Recaro recliner passenger seat. Recaro Fixed bucket for Driver. (not fitted, need to modify rails) Toms Racing Harnesses for driver. Comes with standard seats too. Original plush Nissan silvia floor mats as well, which is nice. Exterior: Carbon fiber motorbike style mirrors. GT-R style vented grille. Nissan factory side skirts and front lip extension. I have no way of verifying, but the man i bought the car off told me they came off a genuine Nissan Factory Sileighty!! Pretty darn cool if its true. He didn't seem like the type to make it up. Front lip has seen much better days. Fiberglass copy of a Vertex front bar. This is not fitted or painted. Body is very straight with just a couple of very small dimples here and there. There are a few scuff marks on the boot lid where a duck-tail spoiler was fitted. There is no rust patches on the car. Only the odd stone chip that's got a bit of light surface rust on it. A good clean anda cut and polish will do wonders for the finish, but a respray will be needed to really bring her back to life. The colour is midnight blue with a light purple pearl through it in the right light. I'm sorry for the cheeky "just washed" photos. I was going to shammy it off to show the paint issues better, but it started raining before i finished taking the photos anyway. I'll take some more when its dry to show the problem areas. I'll provide the car with a REVS check to prove the car has no Encumbrance (finance), no stolen records and no written off records. Also a Vic Roads check that proves no outstanding defects, warrants or fines. The car is very much driveable, but not right now. The back right tyre is knackered and shitty stripped lock nuts from all the wheels were removed, so its missing a nut on each wheel. The seats need to be bolted back in, and a very compact battery is needed, as the new intercooler pipes leave no room for a regular small battery. She starts no problem and runs beautiful, and would not take a motivated person with a little bit of time and cash to get it back on the road. $5000 Car is located in Bendigo Victoria. Please PM me for more info or contact details. Cheers.

  8. How to tell if

I was just wondering if the guy i brought my engine off claims its a new sr20de, he reckons the old engine was a DET but was swapped because the turbo stuffed up. I'm wondering if he just took the turbo off and put the air box and stock exhaust back on. How can i tell if it used to be a turbo engine or if its a new N/A engine

  10. hey guys i am having some problems with my 200sx s15, it is nearly all stock apart from exhaust, FMIC, and alloy radiator. it is coming onto boost extremely late around 4300-4500. you can hear it winding up before hand but honestly don't feel any type of boost till about the 4500 mark as i said. i have a few mates with s15's and s14's and when their cars were stockas they believe it was definitely coming onto boost with no lag what so ever and after taking my car for a drive they reckon something is definitely up. when installing the new radiator last night we tightened all the FMIC piping as well as blocking off 2 small broken nipple holes in the fmic piping as my car would get little shudders and nearly stall when dropping revs which we put down to boost/air leek, this did completely stop the shuddering problem but has done nothing to they laggy feeling of boost coming on. We also tried changing VCT solenoid because their wasn't a great deal of difference in the feel of the car after we disconnected the wires to the vct solenoid but after replacing the selonoid and hooking it all back up it was still the same. my VCT cam gear is a bit noisy and will be replacing quiet soon but have been told this shouldn't effect the performance of the car i was wondering before i go out and take my car to a mechanic and get them to find the problem via bloody hit and miss and lots of my cash, if anyone has any suggestions i should try out or if people have had similar problems?? thanks for any input people can give me as i don't have the cash for a mechanic to replace 10 things to finally work it what the problem was
  11. Hey everyone. I need help, tips and pointers from people who have done this before or know information on it. So I don't want people saying "go rb20 it's easy" or asking how much power I want. I'm just getting it together and running standard not going massive power now. I have a r32 skyline rolling shell and putting a series 2 rb25det into it. I have gearbox n the custom mounts to fit the 32, the motor and other bits and pieces. 1st, question would be, is a rb20det radiator the same as a rb25det? If not will a rb25det radiator fit in the standard brackets in the r32? 2nd, the loom and ecu I still need to buy but want to know will it all plug and go or do I need to customize the loom to fit the r32 and if so is it a small easy job or do I need it professionally done? Does someone have a step by step instructions for it? 3rd, when I got the car it came with the exhaust from the cat back but no cat, the bolt pattern is 3 bolts and seems to be 4", now I have looked up r32 and r33 cars and they are 2 bolt does anyone have a idea what the 3 bolt goes to? 4th, can someone tag the how to thread for installing a forward facing plenum on a rb25, I have been searching and can't find it. Thanks everyone in advance, I'm sure I'll have more and more questions but a lot of help would be great thanks Mark

  14. S15 Engine in S13

Hey everyone! I'm only new to the forum, signed up because I'm well and truly stuck. I've searched online for hours or multiple forums to no avail, so I'm hoping some Silvia guru can help! I've dropped a S15 SR20DET into my S13. Everything is bolted up, just need to make some new intercooler pipes to fit. My issue is with the wiring. I'm completely clueless; no idea where to start. I have the S15 ECU and wiring loom, so the engine side of the wiring is done, easy. It's the wiring to the S13 dash that has me stuck. I can't even find any sort of diagrams to help me. There doesn't seem to be much info out there regarding S15 engine's in S13's. However, the guy I bought this S15 engine from had it running perfectly (dash and air con, etc included) in his S13. Unfortunately he isn't very available to get information from. Obviously, a step by step walk through would be amazing hahaha But I understand people wouldn't have time to do that for me. So any help would be useful! Advice, pictures, links, anything! I will post pictures of the build when it's finished I'll also gladly post any additional information or images if needed, just ask. Thanks again in advance! I've heard a lot of good things about this forum
  15. Hey guys just have some questions here in regards to choosing my first silvia. Sorry if this is in the wrong section! Alright, im currently looking to buy a silvia s13. But here in perth, (decent and cheap) s13s are becoming extremely difficult to come by. Im looking to spend less than 3500. The plans/objectives for the car will just be a clean turbo/manual daily driver that i can enjoy and have fun in (No track use). There are 4 choices as you all know (from factory) are: - turbo/ manual - turbo/auto - non turbo/manual - and the worst of the bunch - auto/non turbo I would MAYBE do a manual/T swap IF i chose auto/NA later on.. but that means more $$$ and im very unsure about any legality issues that would arise by swapping the factory sh1t out (yellow sticker??). the best option is to obvs go manual/turbo but they are simply so bloody hard to find for that price, the same can go for the manual/NA sometimes. there are some cheap auto/NA's around but that means more work and $$ in the future. is it really worth it??? and alot of these auto/NA's are unrego'ed aswell, which makes it even more difficult to chose if its cheap... i really dont know what to do haha, what do you guys recommend i really look for? are there gonna be any legal troubles if i choose a Non Turbo/auto and eventually do a Manual T conversion?? or is the only real option to wait and keep looking for a NON AUTO...? ps. im not a P plater lol and i havent really done an engine swap before! thanks guys
  16. Need Help! Turbo sound !

Hello guys! I`m from Brazil and I'm here to ask for help to install turbo in my car! I know a lot of things about turbo, but my question, for you, may be an idiot question. I don't now if you know, but here, in Brazil, the sound of turbo is different than the sound I heard in Japan! In Japan, the sound it's like the sound of the GT-R, like this video : Now, in Brazil, the turbo sounds different : Here is my question : How can I do the sound of GT-R in my car ? I know, the engine it's VERY different, but a friend who lived in Japan, said that Nissan Silvia, sounds similar! I know that in a kit turbo I need to install a blow off valve, at least in Brazil! In Japan is the same thing ? I need to install a blow off valve to sounds like GT-R ? If not, how can I install my turbo ? If someone can show me photos, I'll be happy! Thank you !
  17. Hey guys could use some help on making a decision between the above turbos. my engine has no internal work just bolt on mods. I have been told by a few people that the Garrett 3071 takes to long to spool up and wont get the full potential until i do internals and I have seen alot of people saying they have had great success with the t28. I was leaning towards the 3071 but after reading and hearing all this im a bit lost. cheers for any recommendationsbor info
  18. Hi guys, I'm a first time poster here but I have been lurking these forums for a while. I have found a lot of the topics on the tech forum very helpful and informative. Though I have something for some of the gurus to help me out on. I have recently installed a Turbosmart boost gauge on my ADM S15. The install went well and it seems to be functioning and lighting up correctly. I immediately took it for a drive to have a look at my boost readings. I red lined through first gear, second gear and a bit of third and measured a reading of 15 psi. Now this seems a bit high as these are my only mods. - K&N panel filter - GFB Respons blow off valve (set to plumb back) - Restriction removed from stock boost controller I understand that replacing the restriction hose on the stock boost controller will gain me a few psi but I wouldn't think it would be as high as 15 psi. I'm a bit worried that something is forcing my turbo to boost this high and that some internal damage could occur in my engine or turbo. I would put the restriction hose back on to measure my readings again but I don't have it as I bought the car with the restriction removed. Could there be something wrong with the boost gauge? Or maybe the way I installed it? The vacuum hose connecting to the boost gauge are nice and tight as well as the end connecting to the T piece that connects to the fuel pressure regulator. Anyone have any thought?
  19. Hey guys, ive been furiously thrashing the search button for a clear answer to the above question. Does anyone have a guide to installing a Z32 AFM 'blow through' aka when the AFM goes inb4 the throttle body on the cold side. Wanna know how to install it, how to entend the factory afm wires to reach and what amp/wire to use. how hard it is and if anyone wants to throw their two cents in thats more than welcome.
  20. Okay, i'm only 15 and im getting my Ls in a few months, i was thinking of buying a car, either s13 sr20det, or 180sx also turbo, i was thinking of getting it registered in one of my family members name, either sister or dad, and then i can just drive that on my Ls, and then when i get on my Ps, register it on my name and buy a different engine, and putting a non turbo sr20de, or ca18de, i am no mechanic or anything, but my dad was in the automotive area abit, and he does know a few things about cars, so i wouldnt be mind lost. but would this be a good idea? any help? please!
  21. Just after some advice and some pointers. 22. Sammy's Carrot S14

Hey there, Out of the many toys I've had, here's my first turbo. My orange 95' S14 which I have called 'The Carrot' for some reason. Got it pretty much stock apart from exhaust, colour, and pod filter. There may be other little things I guess. First day I got it: It had a white vinyl seats and door cards: Parts purchased ready to install: I'm being budget and buying some things second hand at the moment, but I just want it to get it to how I'd like it More to come...

  24. Nismo S-Tune style S15

hey guys, name is jace i am a big fan of S-chassis and used to own a red s14a which was my first real turbo car, but since then i tried to move on and be respectable with my money and went on to buy a corolla sportivo, didn't last long without a turbo so i sold it to my older brother, 6 months later here i am introducing my new money pit! i like to keep and modify my cars with a clean fairly subtle appearance, not a fan of big chunky bodykits big flares and the likes. this is my 02 ADM spec S GT s15! bought it basically stock with just a full exhaust and coilovers and at the time picked it up for an absolute steal! current mods; motor/fuel/exhaust; standard internals custom no-hole fmic turbotech V2 mbc k&n pod 11psi walboro 255 gktech stainless bell dump gktech stainless midpipe high flow cat custom stainless mandrel bent cat back finished with a fagnaflow cannon suspension/arms; HKS hypermax III coilovers generic camber arms generic toe arms wheels/brakes; ROTA SVN-R 18x9 +20 & 18x10 +20 finished in matte black sporting forceum d850 205/40 and forcuem hexa 225/40 respectively stock brakes/generic pads interior/audio/visual standard leather front seats pioneer headunit 6" 3-way audiolines all round calibre boost gauge in-dash duralumin gear knob various hanging ornaments exterior/body JDM DC2 integra front lip Rolled and pulled/flared 1 1/2" rear guards JDM JJR wind deflectors spec R side skirts deleted gt wing de-badged rear and blacked out front emblem blacked out rear reflectors D-max roof spoiler Nismo S-Tune side and bonnet decals courtesy of racegraphix. trying to stand out amongst the many s15's. that's about all there is, it has come a fair way from when i bought it almost 5 months ago. but there is still much more to do before i can consider it finished "cosmetically". future mods to do are; fit my innovate wideband done! fit a origin boot lip black out or clear side indicators tint windows smoke rear light indicators swaybars front & rear front strut brace nistune possibly ways down the road + various things i can't think of right now. let me know what you think!
  25. I have recently purchased a S13 Silvia (SR20DET), and I have been trying to piece together the turbo configuration, and wondering if there is anyone with a similar set up? I am interested in getting a better understanding first hand as I am not that clued onto turbo set-ups. I know what all the individual pieces are: The exhaust housing has Garrett cast into it, and the CHRA has Garrett on the name plate. I have not seen Garrett on the intake housing. CHRA - 700177-0010 MODEL - GT3076R TURBINE SIDE SIZE = 56.5 mm OUTLET = 52.0 mm TRIM = 84 COMPRESSOR SIDE SIZE = 76.2 mm INLET = 53.1 mm TRIM = 48 I have not seen the exhaust side turbine, however the intake side has seven blades, so I am assuming the exhaust has 14? This is what research is telling me anyway. Intake housing Have not been able to find a part number on the housing, however the A/R is 0.70. Exhaust housing - 449010-1 From researching it seems that this housing is internally gated, with a A/R 0.64. The turbo on my car is internally gated, however, I have not seen the A/R. The turbo has been low mounted and there is very little clearance between the intake housing and the engine mount. I am taking it to be tuned next week as my first dyno run indicated it was running a little lean, as well as the AFR fluctuating right through the rev range. It also struggles to maintain a constant idle. A bit more insight into my set-up before I take it to the tuner would be appreciated. Thanks
