  1. Tsuro's MY99 Wrx

Mmmm sounds expensive....what sort of $$$ would you be looking at for that setup? Will definantly want a PPG or similar box behind it if your going to run a 6cyl torque monster. Have you towed anything with the WRX yet? I'm thinking of getting one but would need to be able to tow a jetski...
  2. Quick question about engineering

Not entirely correct. The certificate MUST be issued by a Vicrods approved engineer from the Vehicle Assessment Signatory Scheme (VASS) http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/RoadSa...ficatesVASS.htm There are only a few of these guys who operate outside of Vic.
  3. I think this guy would have a better chance if he asked a homo that smoked 'Gucci' cigarattes... "> " type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="638" height="525">
  4. Because he wants to smoke 'designer' brand cigarettes dressed in his tight 'designer' jeans, holding his 'designer' manbag in the other hand complete with poodle that resembles a large rat Seriously apart from saying i have cigarettes that say Gucci, do they have any other benefit? Or has the tobacco comapnies marketing department just got onto a winner?
  5. Tsuro's MY99 Wrx

What engine conversion are you considering? I'm assuming the later 2.5L engine that came with rex's but which 3.0? Supposebly a cheaper option to a big rebuild is to get a new STI short block and drop that in. Get a larger VF series direct bolt on turbo, with a few supporting mods and you could have a reliable 200kw at all wheels which would make it perfect for circuit work. Also if its going to be used for track work why not get the 5 speed rebuilt with straight cut gears (helical cut if you want it quieter) which is about $6k. This is a cheaper option than a 6 speed conversion on a GC8 and as they use synchro's shift just as easily. Also the MY99+ came standard with 4 pot brakes so thats a good start in the braking department too.
  6. Dammit Rowville People

Haha owned by a trolley boy out in the carpark, I think that shows us this guy was about as 'hardcore' as a gangsta gets in Wheelers Hill. So the gun man could not have been from Wheelers Hill otherwise he probably would have shot himself in the foot or got his wu-tang jacket stuck on the fence while escaping. *Looks across Wellington Rd to Noble Park/Mulgrave *
  7. Abandoned Places

Wow, some random stuff in those links, this place would be wierd... 'Abandoned Scientific Centre of Russian Brain Research' BRAINS, BRAINS...
  8. wtd: studio apartment

Theres plenty of studio apartments for $200/week that would fit in your criteria, your just not looking hard enough. Check out all the online rental sites.
  9. less traffic these days

oooo ma badd soz i thought it opened when i saw it on da tv wif da ppl on maybe dat was a one day fingg f**king un-educated wanker. why pose as a muzza online? there is more effort needed to work out the "slang" than there is to type normally.... Haha dude your a retard, what you wrote actually takes the same amount of effort as writing liking a normal person. ma= my badd = bad fingg= thing What makes you want to write like that?
  10. Those Math + Verbal are easy. The ones with critical reasoning as well where you have to solve problems with shapes and flow patterns are wacked! Which industry/job did you to do it for? All good advice, best thing is to be yourself. Dont try be a hero and if you are normally quiet move outside your comfort zone. How you act in there is how your expected to act in the real world so dont be fake!
  11. Function Venues

Nah you'll be right they always have 18th, 21st etc at those places...its their cash cow.
  12. Function Venues

Not really sure of any in SE suburbs, only really know places in city. Just ring up your local pubs and suss it out, golf courses and tennis clubs can also hire out function rooms. Another good option is the local RSL, they all have functions rooms.
  13. Function Venues

Depends what your budget is. Most places will want to charge you for finger food per head ($15-25p.p. average), which means your looking at about $2500 in food. Ideally find a place or negotiate to only have food platters (roughly $60-90 each) OR just be a tightarse and dont offer your guests food Usually a room hire fee will be waived if you spend $XXX amount on the bar. Best bet is to ring up some bars/pubs with function rooms and find out for yourself. Also depends if you want a nice clasy bar or just a room at the back of a pub.....too many variables...
  14. job for my gf

If you want to be a bit entrepreneurial instead of just pimping her out in the 'burbs take her to one of the little country towns in the big mining regions. Those guys get paid anywhere from $100k+ a year and with nothing to spend their money apart from piss at the local pub im sure those boys would be willing to pay a hefty fee to service your missus. Then you can drive around town in one of these, wear fluffy animal suits and walk with a cain.
  15. Getting stereotyped in our cars

OMG a cop pulling someone over for no reason, what has the world come to? You do know that there are cops specifically assigned to patrolling the roads. If no ones cutting skids or dating 12yr olds (like in Tasmania) then they might as well pull over randoms for breath tests etc. I'd rather see them working than doing nothing. How do you know the guy he pulled over wasn't a rapist, speeding or running drugs? Did you pull over and ask him and then the guy replied "I'm a poor motorist"? so thats how the cops work now is it? randomly pull people over and hope for the best? and i don't know if the guy was speeding, a rapist or running drugs and i pretty much couldnt give a f**k. if you're fine with getting pulled over for doing nothing wrong then that's fine. if i get questioned by a cop for doing absolutely nothing, whether i'm driving, walking late at night etc. then why the hell would i want that?! it's a waste of my time and probably theirs! i have mates who are cops and patrol around my way... trust me, there's no shortage of work for them. Yes welcome to 20th century policing sir. I dont know what rock you live under but police have been pulling people over at random for a long time. The purpose is to detect suspended drivers, unregistered vehicles, stolen vehicles, drunk drivers etc which may have otherwise gone undetected. If your got nothing to hide, then this shouldn't be an issue and off you'll go. So if your mates are part of the local traffic management unit in your area and its their colleagues that are 'harassing' you, surely your mates could explain to why you are being 'singled out'.
  16. Should I heighten my S15?

So what have you decided to Sengu? Remove bar, get custom springs, wind up coilovers or leave it?
  17. Getting stereotyped in our cars

So was the comment specifically referring to being pulled over in a car OR was it a general comment about pulling a gun? Make up your mind... I dont get what you mean by drive a boat, pweaze explain.
  18. Should I heighten my S15?

yeah but the car will look low anyway because of the front bar. Most speed humps i go over at a fast speed straight without going side ways and it doesn't scratch, its just drive way or really really insane speed humps I need to go sideways. Yes the car may look low at the front but from the side you will have a huge fvck off gap between the top of the wheel and bottom of the guard, which will look uber ghey Your cars not that low sorry, i think you really to adjust your driving skills or flog the front bar off. I would prescribe to you one of these Note the specials features: - Ride height will allow you to navigate those scary driveways and speedhumps - Bull bar will allow you to nudge other drivers whilst practicing your inept parking skills - Dog in the back will warn you of upcoming driveways you cant navigate - Large tray for plenty of concrete to harden yourself up * Optional trailor to tow your bob-cat * The gap between the wheel and arch will be the same on your S15 Honestly its your car do what you want, if you really want get some sort of custom lift kit made up to make it 4x4 spec.
  19. Getting stereotyped in our cars

It depends on the individual cop, every time I've been pulled over I get out of the car.. I get psycho though lolol. Cops never had a problem Lol good work! Yea it could of looked aggressive I understand that but this is tasmania no one pulls guns on people here. Ummm im guessing your less than 12 years old then...ask your teacher about the Port Arthur Massacre that happened in 1996 - 35 dead, 37 wounded. Oh and your bf's a sicko for dating a 12yr old Yea martin bryant got pulled over by popo for driving an import then pulled a gun on *milkshakes*, thats how it went down ppffft you fail. LOL@ You victory spec, yea that generally is my plan when im in my car Uh no you explicitly said NO ONE in Tasmania pulls guns on people, double FAIL for you. Correct me if im worng but i must have missed where you wrote "no one driving an import in Tasmania has ever been pulled over and then shot at the cop"... I'm fairly sure not many people had flown jets into buildings before 9/11 either, but it still happened didn't it?....As i said earlier stop being so naive.
  20. So it speeds up your metabolism yet this guy and his wife both put on weight? I'm assuming the weight gain isn't associated with not drinkning the water?

  23. Should I heighten my S15?

So your cars at stock height and you want to raise it more Why dont you just get rid of the front bar for something more practical. No matter how good the front bar looks, the car will look sh!thouse if your raise it!
  24. Getting stereotyped in our cars

I doubt it will ever change, if you dont like it buy a Corolla. Imports HAVE become a stereotype for a reason, the cops didnt just wake up one day and decide they would target imports. Fact is in the last decade or so imports have got an image representing 'street drift', 'street racing' etc. They have come to be the poster image of 'boy racers' or 'hoons' which are not liked by the community and so the cops target these cars in response to community pressures. Yes you may not act like a *richard cranium* on the road but many people in imports have and generally their attitudes seem to be just as bad from reading posts on this forum. Yes I also drive an import so i know whats its like to drive one. I'm also not naive to the fact its the car istelf which attracts attention and you shouldn't take it as a personal attack (which you obviously are). If you think you have had it bad you should have read the Vic section for the past 5 years. Its not uncommon for cops to wait outside peoples house in the morning then as soon as they pull out of the driveway they defect them, going around to peoples house on the weekend to give them a ticket for parking on the naturestrip in the middle of suburbia, blocking off one way streets so they have to drive past their mobile defect stations to get out and even using users posts written in this forum as evidence in court hearings So in closing - grow up, get used to it or buy a corolla. I dont see the community or cops attitude changing towards imports any time within the next 50 years. ddi you even read my post properly? my bf got out of the car to get his license from behind his seat in his bag, and its easier to get out of the car and get it rather than trying to maneourve around his bulky recaro Eddie's right it can be seen as aggression if you suddenly jump out of the car and start ranting - he could of said he felt unsafe/threatened and pulled a gun/tazer on you if he felt the situation was dangerous. Also your bf jumping out of the car and then rummaging through a bag isn't a good sign to the cop, how does he know your bf wasn't about to the pull a shotgun out of the bag and start shooting up the cop car. Very stupid move.
