  1. Fabrication Pics Thread

That pic is a bit deciveing not as large as it looks,
  2. Yeh ive only ever used STT for carbon too just wasnt sure if people were using it for stainless yet
  3. For that size pipe are you using tig or stt?
  4. 5" angle grinder with 1mm cuttting disk lol then linisher to make sure it's dead flat and then de burer to clean up inside and outside edges. Will be getting a drop saw for doing pipes, and a upright fixed band saw for cutting donuts But Also thinking of getting a whole heap of pie pieces laser cut for lobster bends,
  5. Fabrication Pics Thread

Exhuast manifold made for my s13 ( ca18 ) Built as a split pulse t4 but with a open t3 flange on it for now untill I get a new turbo. Have a tr43i for now, shaped and ported the internal wastgate whole for improved flow, also cut the rear flange down as I didn't like the look of the dump pipe, new turbo will either be s366 or Efr 8374. Possibillty of using the single fogger nitrous kit I have laying around with an rpm window/pressure switch purely for spool up also. Just waiting on my spare engine to come so I can make my inlet manifold/s, will make one with gtr throttle body's, one with a single 80mm throttle body, both will have exactly the same plenum chambers, then do back to back to back testing with stock inlet, 80mm single tb and Gtr ITB's, then a e85 tune Car previously made 150rwkw at 15psi on 98 with crappy china t3/4 manifold and tr43i with the std dump pipe flange. The inlet manifold I have been working on for my vl (rb30) when I'm borded
  6. Shogun, from stock to extreme +700hp

none of the pics are working for me? really want to see this thing?
  7. S13 brake upgrade

im willing to spend what needs to be spent on them, but ideally want to keep costs down as much as possible, the r33 gtr rotors were cheap at $199(though not sure about metal quality at that price might chew out faster then a set of pads?) and come with the dog bones, but going to see if he will do them cheaper with out if i was to use the evo 9 brembo's. only reasone i was going to use the evo 9 brembos with teh gtr rotor was that u mentioned they are a much better caliper, and also i had already paid for the rotors, i doubt i will be able to source a pair of new cross drilled and slotted evo rotors for $199? i see u say they are not comon but at the price i can get a couple rotors spare but dont think ill be going through them that quick qith just a few drift days and odd hill climb thats if they are of good quality? adoptors are no problems as im a fabricator/welder by trade. i was thinking about brake bias after i posted, possible may just go straight to a booster-less willwood setup with duel master cyclinders and bais bar? reasone for the hardcore rear is that i have already paid for the r33 gtst full set of brakes, and once again rotors are cheap at $199 thought it would be a pretty cost effective rear set up? i also have two pairs of 4 piston rx7 calipers sitting there doing nothing that i got for my ae86 agers ago but never put on before i sold if they can be used at all? thanks for all your help so far
  8. S13 brake upgrade

thinking about getting those evo 9 brembos and using them on the front, then getting another pair of those 324mm r33 rotors and using them on the rear, same bore hole, hight is 53.75mm, normal rear rotor is 63mm, so will sit 9.25mm further away from the caliper mounts leaving room for an adaptor, then using the r33 gtst 4 pistons on the back, and possibly a 2nd pair for seprate hydro hand brake set up as ill already be making up an adoptor up for the rear anyway so a double wont make much diffrence? remembering i wont be running the stock drum handbrake set up? will this work, or not worth the effort and just use the r33 gtst twin piston rears with r33 gtst rotors?
  9. S13 brake upgrade

evo 9 rotors = 320x32mm im led to belive from a quick search? would the evo 9 brembos be a good choice for the front? and is 500 a good price for the pair of calipers? is it worth it for the extra money? car is mainly going to be track drift, with the odd hillclimb/touge? does anyone offer a caliper adaptor for the evo 9 brembos and r33 gtr rotor?
  10. S13 brake upgrade

What calipers would you reconnmend for the front on those 324 rotors midnight? I can always sell the r33 calipers again, what do the brembos go for by them selfs?
  11. S13 brake upgrade

maybe i should have done more research, but never saw the evo upgrade mentioned. live and learn, is there another option for the front calipers to use with that rotor? anything would have been an upgrade on the stock s13 ca brakes?
  12. S13 brake upgrade

just sorting out my 5 stud conversion and brake upgrade atm, think i've got it sorted if someone would do a quick look over? parts i have bought/waiting to arrive Front ICHIBA FRONT 5 LUG HUB CONVERSION S13 DIRECT BOLTON NEW http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/160704550931?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_1327wt_1163 HFM GTR 324MM ROTOR UPGRADE KIT WITH CALIPER ADAPTERS http://holfordmotors.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=59_88&product_id=155 R33 gtst 4piston calipers will need to get brake lines but will probly get these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HEL-braided-brake-lines-Nissan-S13-180sx-GTST-calipers-/251096100905?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a767e7029#ht_1919wt_980 then just some pads and thats the front all taken care of i belive? Rear 2 x Rear 240SX 5 Lug Wheel Bearing Hub w/ ARP Stud Kit http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/300522444107?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_1279wt_1163 Havent got rotors yet, seeing if holfords can souce some at a good price the same as the r33 gtr ones. R33 gtst twin piston calipers Hydro Handbrake Now the car isnt going to be a street car, just a track/drift car, i was thinking im going to be running a hydro handbrake so it doesnt really mater if i dont hook up any of the stock handbrake stuff? Master going to get a bm50 master cylinder but how do i tell the diffrence betwen non abs and abs models? and how much does it cost to get a abs version modded to suit non abs?
  13. stainless manifold sr20det

i have a Monstaperformance one and its great quality the walls are very thick the welds are all very nice the insides of the piping is all smooth ( can see where it has been ported but, its still smooth) would rckonmend it to anyone
  14. VK Commodore.

maybe coz the VL turbos didn't have rb20s, they have RB30ET. I dont think there would be a turbo kit for a VK engine, being holden not nissan, but i could be wrong. drumaddict is your VK carby or injected ?? nz vlt came with rb20det, oz vlt came with rb30et
  15. hey i was in the same boat as you not sure which engine i was going to i was only getting universol parts for the S13, parts that will fit both are. Catback exhuast Dump/front pipe Cat Turbo (not all but) Fmic Then the intercooler piping kit, it is not a dircet fit for both sr and ca engines, ther is one on here that only requiers one cutto ake it fit the Ca18det engine. i decided to go a ca18det because of the cost of engines, and that if i blow one up it wont cost me an arm and a leg to get a new one in (2nd hand) infact i have seen em so chaep i have decided to have one as a spare then another one to build up with internal work. here are some links for the parts that i got and reckomend as they are very good quility. 3in stainless steel catback exhaust http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=114512 3in dump/front pipe http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=114183 stainless steel turbo manifold (this is engine specific, i got a ca one) http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=115448 Intercooler 600x300x76 http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=104799 Intercooler piping ill have a look for the one it is
