  1. S13 pulling one way

Mainly a street car with track days few times a year. I already have solid subframe in the rear but it isnt as bad as i thought but i might just get poly ones just to keep the nvh as it is.
  2. S13 pulling one way

The chassis having 180k kms and being 25years old im not surprised if using new castor arms will solve it. Actually i just read up its most likely castor arms/tension rod as you guys has mentioned i just remember sometimes car pulls to the right while braking as well. Will replace it and report how it goes. Any particular brands i should be looking at? And is the nvh significant using pillow ball ones
  3. S13 pulling one way

I will try to find my alignment sheet And no i dont have adjustable castor
  4. Hey guys Been having this issue of the car pulling to the left after a 100kms of driving from a wheel alignment twice. I already used 3 different sets of wheels and tyres and it still doing the same pulling to the left . Drives beautifully until it start slowly pulling to the left more and more gradually. Just wondering what the possible issue that can cause this? I posted earlier having a twitchy rear end but a full alignment solved that and drives beautifully except for it pulling to the left now. If anyone read and followed the thread i mentioned i have a s14 rear subframe, s14 front upright and just coilovers as suspension mods. I got my original steering rack replaced with a good condition s14 one as well and the tie rods appear to be in good shape but i forgot what was necessary to be used to do s14 upright swap as i remember s13 dont fit and s14 ones are too long and im pretty sure its a oem atm. I didnt do this swap so i have no idea Thanks in advance!
  5. Twitchy rear end?

Well i got a wheel alignment and that fixed most of the problem except somehow these my wheels got wallowed out... Now i need figure something else out...
  6. Twitchy rear end?

If thats the case you maybe right on the bushings, the car lost its rear alignment after i jacked up the front i think.. anyhow they my workshop are double checking my rear subframe to make sure theres no issues and i report back if i see any different with new coilovers and a alignment If thats the case you maybe right on the bushings, the car lost its rear alignment after i jacked up the front i think.. anyhow they my workshop are double checking my rear subframe to make sure theres no issues and i report back if i see any different with new coilovers and a alignment
  7. Twitchy rear end?

The subframe was off a kouki s14 and had only 100k kms on it the bushings were good but yeah, i figured only way to get it to drive well its just keep fixing and replacings bits haha
  8. Hey guys I think i have a idea whats causing but would like to hear some opinions and reason why this may occurring to learn more. The car is 180sx with a s14 rear subframe and stock s13 suspension. Since putting the sub frame in the car drove fine for the first few times and I also got a temporary alignment at bridgestone cause car had a s14 front upright and had some really bad toe alignment so i can drive it without tyres screeching at 60km slight bend. Had plans to slap coilovers in when i had time but wanted to drive it before i put them in hence the alignment. Drove okay after that Then one day when i was driving down the m4 i realized the rear was twitchy and felt like it wanted to move side to side going straight. I did look under the car to find one rear shock was leaking badly (@180k kms) guessing its probably blown and then it started pulling to right as well the following day and felt alittle bouncy as well. Coilovers are now going in asap this week with a proper full alignment. The question is does a bad shock contribute to hoping twitchy end cause the dampers lost it dampening ability? I had a civic which suffer the same problem but was not apparent at all at least not to this extent. My mechanic had also told me that with stock shocks and combination of the offset bushing and s14 subframe geometry would be out of wack til i put in coilovers to put it down to the correct geometry. The subframe was also modified to be mounted directly to the body to avoid bashing in the chassis as well with no shims. Im getting it all done in the workshop this week but thought it will be interesting to see if im missing anything.. Thanks in advance
  9. Hey guys Recently found out my compressor has burnt out on my blacktop sr20det in my 180sx and the electrical mechanic suggested me to replace the compressor and dryer at the same time but i have found no info on the dryer used on a sr20det s13 and i want to do it once and properly. Is there a drier that is a direct replacement in my car or should i just ignore it? If anyone has any idea who makes the A/C drier and the part please share it with me. Also if anyone know what oil does the A/C compressor in s13/s14 use and rebuild kit available? Many thanks
  10. Retro Fitting ABS in S13?

Pulling a abs loom/body loom isnt really a hard challange its just time consuming to put in haha. Hmm it such a shame cause the car reasonably priced and pretty good condition and most important i like to harass a stock car haha. I probably will still get it and upgrade into r33 gtst brakes anyways. Thanks for the advice guys Thanks for the reply guys
  11. Retro Fitting ABS in S13?

Yeah i heard its not as effective as newer cars so i might still get the as its now rare to come by 100% stock 180sx and do it as a slow project haha.I dont think retrofitting its expensive since most people will remove it from there s13 and its worthless but will be time consuming to fit it back together
  12. Retro Fitting ABS in S13?

Its just a piece of mind thing haha and i track a bit that is why i thought it would be nice to cover some of nubby driving. Owning 2 s2000 and subaru BRZ and BMW 1 series made me really appreciate how nice ABS is. The car im looking at is full stock and was going to do a 5 stud conversion and thought it might as well get abs retrofitted since i need the sensors and mount for the abs sensor and the teething on the hub. I know that i would need a ABS diff and ABS driveshaft but the car being Auto and im going to be doing a manual conversion i might as well source the parts to get it ready for when i do the 5 stud conversion. Hardest thing honestly i think is retrofitting the brake hard lines but i think i should be able to get a fitting and use some stainless steel braided lines instead. I dont like running cheap tyres btw, its the only thing on the car that actually touches the road ;D learnt that when i was younger as a p plater

  14. Hey guys Wondering would this be a hard job if i source everything i need from a wrecked car and has anyone done it before? i know people will say to learn to brake better but having ABS on the street could be the difference between being in a serious accident or not if possible i rather have it. I know it will be easier to find a car with it already but i found the perfect car so im just going to see if i can work around this. A question i have regarding is the ABS module and wiring separate from the engine harness or is integrated into the engine loom? thanks guys in advance
