  1. hmmm, not quite complimenting for a s14. sorry mate, but its personal choice
  2. Stereotypical driver busted for speeding...

i was about to say the same thing! but still... what an idiot not really, most parts of welly road is straight and down hill! very easy to get up speed. also he would have been in excess of 130km/h to 140km/h. may have been a gtr and not a gtst as someone said as they are cheap as now and plenty around. so what if its over the power to wieght ratio. majority of members here own cars that are over the power to weight ratio. and many of us have disable the speed restrictor/limiter. the cops were too linient, they should have impounded the car for at least 3 monts (extenuating circumstances are present to bypass the initial 48hr impound period). then they should take him to court and make him have a massive fine (about 5k) as well as court costs and impound and towing fees. then they should take away his priviledge to drive for at least 12 months and also give him about 12 months of a community based order at may be the alfred hospital trauma ward to see first hand the damage road accident have to the human body and the emmotional trauma that follows. angelo
  3. In Need Of A 180sx Head Light

+1 for holfords. they might just have the loom and plugs that you need instead of the whole unit
  4. good mechanix in melbourne

GSB Automotive in glen waverly is good too - for all types of cars.
  5. who's going....

for sure! to bulla. cos its cheap for me (monash uni has a chalet for staff and students) costs about $120 (from memory) for the week and you get discounted rental and discounted passes for the lifts!
  6. It's always puzzled me that people keep referring to back-pressure like it's something that you want. Back pressure is force opposite to the flow of the gas. The point of the pipe sizes is to achieve optimal exhaust velocity; back-pressure is an unfortunate by-product of this. Think about it - to increase the velocity of the gas, you shrink the pipe's diameter. Too small raises back-pressure and performance dies (e.g. crushed exhaust pipe). Too big and the exhaust moves slowly, failing to scavange the exhaust gasses and evacuate them effectively (e.g. 3" pipe on a 2L NA engine). There's a happy medium that's dependant on the engine's displacement, but the ideal situation would be to have zero back-pressure and maximum velocity. In the case of a turbo you want ZERO backpressure after the turbo. Zero! The power target will determine what you need, so essentially the engine displacement and turbo hold the key to your choice, given maintaining exhaust velocity is still desirable. well put
  7. whats the point of opening her up near the engine if you pinch the arse end shut? noobs - bet you havent had a car for long or done any mods stfu, its a fkn n/a, you want that shyt to lag like f**k. fkn test drive one u faggot. dnt have to be a dick abt it. its ur opinion. lol - yeah sure. been there done that mate, if you get a proper system built for the car thats isnt a loud big buzz box ricer exhaust you dont loose the back pressure.
  8. thinking of selling my 14 for a polo gti

polo GTI is just an after thought to catch people with more cash the a polo bvut couldnt afford the golf GTI. get a golf GTI not a polo GTI or keep the S14
  9. Defected s13 need help

your EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) is disconnected - there are article on the site regarding how to disconnect it - so read them and work back wards - not too hard. the signal and tail lights should be ok as long as they light up the correct color and are bright enough to be seen in the bright sun light. the mirror - well - its a state thing - in Victoria you dont need to have a mirror on the left it seems (or so i think as i see so many older cars with no mirrors on them at all)
  10. $4000 what would you d

give the cash to -SR NRG- and ask him nicely to work some magic for you

  13. sr20

oh but then you would have saved 600 bucks and you would have the satisfaction of knowing you sawed your own leg off.....in the wrong spot....and then it got infected......and then you ended up having to go to a proper surgeon and get it amputated even further up which then cost even more money than the original procedure. yeah true - but i will stick to paying the experts and enjoy the thought that i dont get a blood infection or golden staph!
  14. volvo xc

so i just decided to make my garage bigger and bought a new XC70LE. Now i have my commodore wagon (dog car for my Rottwielers), my Verada, the Golf and a gsxr. one of the options for the car was a heart beat monitor that looks for life signs in the car so you know if anyone is hiding in the car before you get in...wow!
  15. Selling A Porsche Cayenne Turbo in SA

was being sarcastic. who would but an ugly car that didnt know wheather it was a suv or a sports car?
  16. i imported my s13 (personal import) in 1994 (it was a 1991 with 13K on the clock) - all up with shipping and compliance about $25K
  17. u guys need to go to the shops more. only a decent exhaust with extractors (engine back full system including high performance cat) and and a pod for that price.
  18. sr20

lol - its not a hooby mechanics skill to build a performance engine - pay the experts to do what they are trained to do. afterall, you wouldnt amputate your own leg if needed would you? no you would go to a surgeon.
  19. Top speed from a SR20 KMPH

all jap made cars have a 180km/h cut off. however if you have a Apexi RSM or the like you can remove this. if the car has been looked after and serviced properley etc you should get about 250 average out of it. but only on a track please.
  20. you can get auto headlight on kits from electronic shops like Altronics etc for like $50 or so - DIY kits and that way you do not need to worry about the buzzer and also worry about having to turn the headlights on and off after this.

  25. places in vic to buy motors

Well Ethan, If you want to become the best possible driver out there, why dont you go do the AAMI advanced driver training courses, or some of the defensive driver courses or go to driving school for "trick driving" etc insteads of finding an "......abandoned car park somehwere between here and woop woop..." At least then you can do it under a controlled environment with out you so called "...Hektik Habibs..." where temptation may lead you a stray. on a different note doesnt Habib mean Darling? hmmm....... very good suggestion. never thought of those and i will do some research into those and will deffinetly do something like that. i was looking into flying upto sydney and doing one of those Project D drift school things. Haha im not lebanese but as part of the Wog crowd i know alot of lebanese Habib-friend/mate Habibi-my love and thank you for not just having a go like everyone else you will find that most people here are good and understanding, until a noob comes on and starts talking shit etc cos as it is people have a bad impression of import drivers even though a majority do the right thing. so sometimes you need to phrase everything correctly and give all information possible to prevent misunderstandings I've only ever seen one, and it was installed in a VN Calais, owned by a cop in Bangkok. Edit: 1995 - 2003 Toyota Crown had a 1JZ-GE model. haha i think i seen some cars in speedhnuters with them or something. didnt think to ask if they were rare or not. who cares:S on a side topic. commo's in china WTF? PS - bangkok is in thailand not china
