Stereotypical driver busted for speeding...
kmakaz replied to .::eliza::.'s topic in Australia - Victoria
i was about to say the same thing! but still... what an idiot not really, most parts of welly road is straight and down hill! very easy to get up speed. also he would have been in excess of 130km/h to 140km/h. may have been a gtr and not a gtst as someone said as they are cheap as now and plenty around. so what if its over the power to wieght ratio. majority of members here own cars that are over the power to weight ratio. and many of us have disable the speed restrictor/limiter. the cops were too linient, they should have impounded the car for at least 3 monts (extenuating circumstances are present to bypass the initial 48hr impound period). then they should take him to court and make him have a massive fine (about 5k) as well as court costs and impound and towing fees. then they should take away his priviledge to drive for at least 12 months and also give him about 12 months of a community based order at may be the alfred hospital trauma ward to see first hand the damage road accident have to the human body and the emmotional trauma that follows. angelo -
+1 for holfords. they might just have the loom and plugs that you need instead of the whole unit

GSB Automotive in glen waverly is good too - for all types of cars.

what are the easiest bolt on mods in within 1000k for sr20de would be?
kmakaz replied to s13drifter's topic in Nissan Silvia (nissansilvia.com)
It's always puzzled me that people keep referring to back-pressure like it's something that you want. Back pressure is force opposite to the flow of the gas. The point of the pipe sizes is to achieve optimal exhaust velocity; back-pressure is an unfortunate by-product of this. Think about it - to increase the velocity of the gas, you shrink the pipe's diameter. Too small raises back-pressure and performance dies (e.g. crushed exhaust pipe). Too big and the exhaust moves slowly, failing to scavange the exhaust gasses and evacuate them effectively (e.g. 3" pipe on a 2L NA engine). There's a happy medium that's dependant on the engine's displacement, but the ideal situation would be to have zero back-pressure and maximum velocity. In the case of a turbo you want ZERO backpressure after the turbo. Zero! The power target will determine what you need, so essentially the engine displacement and turbo hold the key to your choice, given maintaining exhaust velocity is still desirable. well put -

whats the point of opening her up near the engine if you pinch the arse end shut? noobs - bet you havent had a car for long or done any mods stfu, its a fkn n/a, you want that shyt to lag like f**k. fkn test drive one u faggot. dnt have to be a dick abt it. its ur opinion. lol - yeah sure. been there done that mate, if you get a proper system built for the car thats isnt a loud big buzz box ricer exhaust you dont loose the back pressure. -
thinking of selling my 14 for a polo gti
kmakaz replied to turkishskyline's topic in Euro (eurotuned.com.au)
polo GTI is just an after thought to catch people with more cash the a polo bvut couldnt afford the golf GTI. get a golf GTI not a polo GTI or keep the S14 -
your EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) is disconnected - there are article on the site regarding how to disconnect it - so read them and work back wards - not too hard. the signal and tail lights should be ok as long as they light up the correct color and are bright enough to be seen in the bright sun light. the mirror - well - its a state thing - in Victoria you dont need to have a mirror on the left it seems (or so i think as i see so many older cars with no mirrors on them at all)

give the cash to -SR NRG- and ask him nicely to work some magic for you

oh but then you would have saved 600 bucks and you would have the satisfaction of knowing you sawed your own leg off.....in the wrong spot....and then it got infected......and then you ended up having to go to a proper surgeon and get it amputated even further up which then cost even more money than the original procedure. yeah true - but i will stick to paying the experts and enjoy the thought that i dont get a blood infection or golden staph!

so i just decided to make my garage bigger and bought a new XC70LE. Now i have my commodore wagon (dog car for my Rottwielers), my Verada, the Golf and a gsxr. one of the options for the car was a heart beat monitor that looks for life signs in the car so you know if anyone is hiding in the car before you get in...wow!
