  3. Hey guys, long time reader, seldom poster. Just after peoples opinions on my new proposed workout plan...sort of. Been gyming for a good 5-6 years, do all the fundamentals, squat, deads, chinups, clean press, military etc. Pretty much learnt everything off this site. Stick to a diet mainly consisting of meat and vegetables. Have a change in my lifestyle now, full time uni, work and play soccer as well so thought I will start fresh with a new workout after about 18 months doing the same thing. Was looking at doing a blend of light medium and heavy sessions. Three times are week where I would do one session. Mainly consisting of the lifts previously mentioned just different weights and repetitions. After feedback and opinions on what people think about my new proposal

    I'm about to start outdoor soccer season and I'm looking at some new compression gear for my upper body. My old linebreak shirt has seen better days so I'm looking around for something good value. I have noticed the new 400 series skins aswell as bsc and under armor. Just after any feedback on what people have used and their experiences with it. Much appreciated

  6. Shin Splints

    I have had shin splints from too much soccer in the past, played about 4 games in half a week. The obvious remedy is to take time off. Always remember to properly stretch and warm up too before and after games. Dencorub and Voltaren gel also help so invest in some the the muscle creams too.
  7. MW2 killed my PS3

    I was playing a few games of MW2 and for no reason my PS3 froze. Its happened a few times before and I usually just reset my console and load up MW2 again. This time now its not reading any of my PS3 discs. The console loads up fine and has all my demos but there is no option to load the game disc Has anyone had a problem like this before or know of what I can do to get my PS3 working properly again?
  8. Lost remote

    I got a Panasonic CD-VQ7001 dvd player. Had it for awhile in my car. Recently my car was broken into, nothing was taken except the remote for the dvd player. Now im unable to use my dvd player at all as it requires the remote to turn it on. I have tried other panasonic remotes and none of them work I called up my local car audio store and was quotd $165 just for the remote and 4-6week wait for it to come from japan Am I screwed with my dvd player or are there any other possibilities for me to get it to work?

    Haha I respect both xbox and PS3 im not here to debate. Its the games that make the console correct? But just to mention all my mates 360's had rrod on them and i have the first ps3 to fail My ps3 was a 40gb model but I put at 160gb hd in it. From the looks of it I will have to buy a new ps3, but on the bright side its almost xmas so there are some good deals out. I live in ACT and there is not place that will look at it (not counting ppl who will look at it in their own garage ) Oh well....sh!t happens

    telstra sucks btw, change it ASAP How fast is your connection? Im on Nat Open and have no problems, it still gets abit laggy with american hosts but my mic doesnt affect my connection. Check out this site for port forwarding as it can help strengthen your connection clicky

    IMO... I would go for heavy weight low reps (5 reps) Squats + Deadlifts + Bench Press + Bent over rows + Dips + Chin ups =A better you You dont need a spot for squats

    Me and some mates are going to gold coast for new years. We are gonna hire a car and drive up there. According to google maps its a 12 hour drive (it even mentions walking is a 10 day travel). Just want to know if anyone has made the trip or know of friends and what the best way to go is. I have been told of a couple ways, staying inland through all the cities or going along the coast. Looks like we'll do an early drive, around 3-4am and arrive in the afternoon. Of course we are all gonna alternate drivers to be safe aswell. Cheers for any advice

  14. Hey all, I been a regular viewer of this site, reading a lot of articles and guides on working out. Its been very helpful in my progression to build size. I have a diet and workout plan done by Markos, obviously the first step in weight training. Lately I have been looking into drop sets, negatives and super sets. I can't find much info on this site about how often I should do them. I have read that negatives are good to do but not often as it does place a lot of stress on the chest, but what about drop sets and super-setting? I super-set almost every session, only once(i.e. one set of super setting along with my other gym routine). How often should I go for drop sets? once a month? I also see a lot of people who bench heavy weight using false grip (not sure if that's what its called, where the thumb doesn't wrap around the bar) Is this advisable for high bench weights or will the traditional grip suffice with no difference?
  15. I would like to know this too. And also how often I should do them. As mentioned before I seuperset every session, and alternate which areas are being super-setted. I drop-set once a fortnight and do negatives once every couple months. Is this ok, or overload or maybe not enough...?
  16. 90% of the Bench accidents I see on Youtube are all to do with false grip, so I guess ill pass on that
  17. Thanks m&m, appreciate your responses I weight train for the same reasons as 99% of the people here. To build strength and put on size. I love drop sets too but I don't want to over do it and end up going backwards.

    Im going to have a look at Alive in Gunners tonight, Club Lime is in Nicholls which might also be worth a squiz. ANU is too far to go, AIS might be a go-er though as its fairly close. Alive Gunners is a no go. plenty of chirpy skinny hot lookin PTs but thats not what I want Ill suss out Club Lime in Gold Creek and if thats no good Ill have to start lookin at Belconnen gyms. So prolly AIS. I go to Alive in gunners because its so close to my house, thats about it. I know what you mean about the people there lol Everyone watches me when I do powercleans because i dont think they have seen anyone do them before haha I only ever go there when its dead quiet now so i dont need to watch the bicep boys do their "workout". club lime in belco is a great place, they have everything there and cost they same as Alive. The only downer to that club lime is that there are so many idiots and posers that go there to socialize that its not funny! the club lime in gold creek is poo so i wouldn't bother even looking at it. those are the only gyms ive looked at so yeah I think Club Lime is overrated. I have been a few times and I only use about 1/5th of the area. For what I paid, and what I used it wasn't worth it. I goto Body Blitz in Belconnen (where bodyworks used to be). Has everything I need and I seem to be the only one doing powercleans and deadlifts there. Oh well

    Hey all, Im in need of a passenger window for my 180sx. It got broken into a couple weeks ago. Funny thing is they left my boost gauge and cd player and decided to make off with my coin tray (the thing that sits next to the handbrake). It had about 35 cents in it....annoying anyways. Hopefully someone here can give me a name of any wreckers that would stock 180sx parts cheers

    My 180sx passed with coilovers at some place in Belconnen. They guy even told me he knew as soon as I got home I was gonna wind them down again hehe
