i have done this to an fd rx7 l76 and l98 are the same just remove the dod gear if it worries you when mine was engineered he was worried about brakes, clearance and emissions
  2. keith litter (littler?) has said they are pushing the 4wd angle alot at the moment in the media but are still out for all modified cars
  3. here is a video i found about canada's speed laws.... which are much the same as ours. If the AMEP make a short video that is much the same proving that we are being used as cash cows for state govt's i think it could help the cause in SA! It's about 15 minutes long and has some good humour in it. Most of all it makes a good point and backs it up with evidence on how we have been lied to all these years.

  5. i had a friend die from a shotgun wound to the chest 2 mates where playing with a shotgun and it went off and hit my mate the guy that was holding it went to jail for seven years for manslaughter and he deserved every year and i think he should have gone away for more they where both f**king dumb for playing with it but the man holding the gun deserved to go to jail same goes for vehicles and drifting Wow. You are a hard cunnt. It was an accident. You know ACCIDENT. Of mate 1 had said let's put it away And mate 2 said nah this is cool then accidently shot him I'd understand .... But to victimize 1 when they were both just as f**king dumb is so so wrong Where exactly did i say i was a hard *milkshake*? wanker... Your in a mates car driving too maccas late at night your both drunk theres an accident and you die you shouldnt have gotten in the car, you knew he was drunk and in no state to drive he is culpable for your death and will go to jail it was still an accident, no one was meant to die but someone did and the person responsible has to be punished i had a friend die from a shotgun wound to the chest 2 mates where playing with a shotgun and it went off and hit my mate the guy that was holding it went to jail for seven years for manslaughter and he deserved every year and i think he should have gone away for more they where both f**king dumb for playing with it but the man holding the gun deserved to go to jail same goes for vehicles and drifting Although tragic, that's a completely irrellevant comparison to draw, and I completely disagree that the same applies to cars as in your example. Despite what the media say, a car is NOT a weapon. Can it be used as one? Sure, as can a ballpoint pen, a brick and a pair of fists. However, the ability to use something as a weapon doesn't fundamentally classify it as one, and it doesn't mean that safe handling of the item involves a policy of "never point at anything you don't want to destroy". The only real automotive analogy that properly contrasts accidental gun discharge is a chicken run or similar. Furthermore, although I don't know the details of the case, I can't say that I necessarily agree with the harsh sentance either. Australia has made the gun laws so difficult and expensive to manage here that few people here have any firearm experience, so given a firearm you can expect them to do obviously dumb shit. If ever you've been on the range shooting, you'll soon notice how often newbies instinctively carry firearms with their finger on the trigger, hold guns horizontal instead of vertical even in front of people and don't check the chamber is clear before moving the gun off target, all despite being told in the safety brief to NEVER do any of these things. Outside the gun range, who is there to lecture them? Accidents can and do happen. In some ways, the accident you mentioned is a product of the environment fostered by people that make laws such as this one, whereby lack of experience and therefore ignorance to safety hazards leads to problems. the comparison i was drawing was too point out that if 2 people are doing something dumb the person holding the gun or the person driving the car are responsible for what happens i should have also pointed out that the person that went to jail was the owner of the gun hence responsible for it being loaded

  8. Why Do We Pay More For Cars?

That is rebirthing we are looking at a legal way to do it. I am saying it is pretty pointless to do it the legal way also assuming you get the plates of another car what are you going to do with it then? its worthless without its VIN The gts is more expensive due too luxury car tax. which was brought in to stop cheap merc's and bmw's flooding the market and killing holden, ford and toyota
  9. Why Do We Pay More For Cars?

most cars on here are thrown together shitboxes built by 12 year olds with no idea i have seen cars completely stripped down and put back together and they are never as good as factory. the interior is always louder and has more rattles and to make all that effort worth while you want to be bringing in a decent car like a late model m3 etc It will never have the resale value of a genuine m3, it won't be put together as well as a genuine one and its alot of work i dont see the point
  10. Why Do We Pay More For Cars?

true.... the whole idea is too much of a pain in the ass i think and not really worth it as it would still be a non genuine car thats been stripped and rebuilt...
  11. Why Do We Pay More For Cars?

I think finding a shell of a car too make it worth it would be hard What are we talking here? bmw m3 would be pretty easy. find a 318i shell or whole car.
  12. It was a concept for the VE model design i thought and you can see the VE in it. Grill, headlights, door handles etc etc toranan has as much chance of being made as an s16 silvia lol
  13. RWD doesnt make sense any more. Its more expensive to produce, gets worse fuel mileage and makes interior packaging shit. the 86 is a niche product and the only reason it worked was becuase they split the cost between toyota and subaru a rwd torrie is extremely unlikely
  14. Ford actually brought in the mondeo wagon as replacement for the falcon wagon and ranger would be way more expensive if it was built here. that's why its built in thailand and south africa They where going to build the focus at broadmeadows but it was cheaper to build elsewhere so why would they bother
  15. Why Do We Pay More For Cars?

GST 10% LCT 33% Duty 10% thats what i know of the top of my head for an import of 60k.
  16. exported commodores sell for less in the states than they sell for over here.... holden will make a tiny profit on the exports but not enough too sustain manufactoring they will likely survive a few more years with a bump from the new VF and then fall again same as the falcon has. As ford shuts down (which will be before 2016 as who would buy a falcon now?) so will many suppliers which will hamper commodore production as well
  17. they dont make as much per car as ford do though. holden sales are better but not by much and they are still on a massive decline
  18. hey all Bought some sparco bucket seats that have been sitting in a mates garage for ages. whats the best way to clean them? they are covered in dust, dirt, grime etc and dog hair anyone got ideas that i can do at home? cheers
  19. yeah tried that. the dog hair might be porcupine hair i had to pick it off one by one.... looking for other ideas people have tried
  20. i also usually take the part in with me so i can compare them
  21. http://www.macrobusiness.com.au/2013/04/car-industry-subsidies-in-perspective/ different website than i pulled the numbers from but basically the same numbers give or take a couple of bucks
  22. This might sounds like a hard truth, but I don't understand why people like you think that there's no other jobs out there. It's like we're already scrounging for the jobs that we've got and the world will fall apart if someone loses theirs. As shitty as the infrastructure can be in SA, this isn't Greece where people are having to move countries to get another job. This isn't the parts of Africa where there's no infrastructure around to get even that first job. This isn't India where people intentionally harm themselves to become better beggars on the street. This isn't North Korea where marginal poverty is astronomically high per capita. It's also not South Korea where people will take wages less than the dole, because the shame of being on the dole is greater than the shame of not being able to eat. Which would you rather have? 1000 jobs that we have to bail out every few years, or cheaper cars and significantly less of a tax drain for 22,000,000 people? If the field is not sustainable, then it's not sustainable. ADM as it sits now is not sustainable. I'll say it again, it is not sustainable. It doesn't matter how much anyone bitches and moans about losing 1000 jobs, if a field is requiring multi-billion dollar bailouts, then it's not working. And what happens when you lose your job? You find another one. That's it. You do what it takes to find another job. If that means changing fields, then you change fields. It's the nature of every single person on the planet's job. Welcome to capitalism. When a market can no longer compete, it dies and the world adapts to a new market to fill the old. If holden and ford are not sustainable then neither are the car companys from the usa and germany price per person for car company bailouts Australia $17.80 Germany $90 USA $264
  23. Insurance write off

Get the car back to your place and strip all the good bits off and replace them with stock bits. it will save the hassle of buying it back and being stuck with a crashed shell
  24. United Australian Party

Most people dont hate on rich people because they have more money. they hate on them because they act like self entitled wankers..... Clive Palmer is spending mega bucks building the Titanic again. he is using chinese cheap labour to do it. if he ended up in govt he would probably outsource every public service job we have too china.... as for the gun laws that Howard changed i think they worked for the better. a hunter doesnt need a semi or full auto too shoot a roo, fox, pig etc.
