OK in the past its been pretty uneven about wat is ok and not. But unfortunately a lot of members and mods are not happy with the way things are goin and therefore some changes hav been made to the rules. These are the rules set by the Site mods and you will abide by them. Therefore from this point on there will be no defamation of any kind to any other user regardless of wat they did. By all means u can disagree with then. But it does not give you the right to make derogatory comments. Anyway these are the rules we must all follow yes even the mods !

Strict rules:

The first offense will results in suspension for three (3) days. Any subsequent offenses will result in a ban.

1. Flames, Derogatory Insults, Harassment.

Flames, harassment, Abusive and Negative Posts are against the rules on this site. If you disagree with another member, please do so in a mature and civil discussion. If another member flames or attacks you, please do not grace that member with a response. If you do, please do not use nissansilvia.com to do it. We suggest that you use the warn button to report the incident to a moderator.

2. Sexism and Racism.

Sexism and Racism are NOT TOLERATED on Nissansilvia.com under ANY circumstances.

3. Threatening other members.

Threats towards other board members, including physical violence, property damage, death threats or any other nature will not be tolerated. This will result in an instant warning.

4. Think about it before you write.

Comments like "St*pid F*cking b@stard cop" are obviously not allowed, with threads containing this content being deleted without warning, any members who have shown to post like this will be banned.

5. Businesses and Defamation.

If you are having problems with a business and would like to seek some advice, reframe from writing the business name as you may wind up in a bigger mess, including defamatory charges.

If people would like to make comment about a bad experience with a business in reply to a members post, try sending a PM or keeping to the facts in the post.

Dealing with the backlash from defamatory posts often end up taking up alot of our time and resources, therefore we can not afford to tolerate this sort of behaviour from our members.

Nissansilvia.com may not be held liable for the views and opinions of it's members, however we do moderate comments to the best of our ability to make sure defamatory statements are delt with.

5. Illegal Activities

Posts encouraging illegal/unethical action are not allowed.

6. Harmful URL’s
Posting any URLs with the intent of causing malicious or harmful results to reader’s computers will result in a minimum of 2 days suspension on the first offence. A repeat offender will be banned.

7. Attacks against Sponsors

Sponsor Bashing is not allowed. The help pay for the forums and are afforded some protection. If you have a problem with a sponsor, please take it up with the sponsor directly, or if all other avenues are exhausted, the webmaster.

8. Attacking forum moderators and administrators.

Attacking forum moderators and administrators is never a good idea. The likely result will be a warning, suspension or banning. If you have a problem with a particular moderator, please send a personal message detailing the problem to an admin. We will do our best to treat each case fairly and equally.

General rules:

Posting in inappropriate Forums and Threads

Please select the correct forum for your thread. Posts in the incorrect area will be either moved or deleted possibly with or without warning.
Please do NOT hijack a thread. If it is not your thread to vary the topic, do not. Posts will be deleted without warning.

The 'For Sale' Sections

Members will not be allowed to create threads in the for sales section until they have made 100 posts. This ensures that members contribute to the site before they start to reap the benefits.
No bumping of threads is allowed. Useless posts such as “good luck with sale” will be removed by the moderators, so please do not make them. In the for sale forums, KEEP out of the thread unless you're the buyer, the seller, or an interested party. Do NOT make unsolicited recommendations, FULL STOP.
Bumping, useless posts and unsolicited recommendations WILL result in a warning.

Trolling

Nissansilvia.com members are allowed to use one account. Any member found to have multiple accounts will have their accounts banned, possibly without notification to the offender. A second account for the one member is considered trolling.
Attempting to instigate problems or discontent on nissansilvia.com (trolling) will result in a two (2) day suspension.


Not Work Safe (NWS) Material

Must only appear in the Off Topic category ONLY, as long as the Title of the Thread contains "NWS" (Not work safe.) The following are allowed:

Tasteful Nudity.
Bad language.

The following are NOT allowed under any circumstances (even linked to):

Nudity including Genetalia (of female OR male).
(R-rated in SA, X-rated in US standards.)

Porn or any sexual acts. (Kissing is obviously ok. Sexually touching is not.)

Disgusting pics. (Tubgirl, goatsecx etc.)

Posting of nudity or any potentially not safe for work material in a thread NOT maked with NWS in the title is not allowed.

The Warning system (Own3d meter)

Nissansilvia.com operates on a "3 strikes your out" warning system, which our moderatorss are in control of. Breaking rules and guidelines, or not using common sense when it comes to posting will land you with warnings.

Warnings are entrusted to moderators and their decision is final, your warnings may drop in future if you have been keeping your nose clean. Sending a PM to a moderator WILL NOT make this happen any quicker.

Warnings imposed by a particular moderator may only be removed by the same moderator.

Deletion/Editing/Modification of posts/users etc.

Any moderators/admin user exerts the right to delete posts at their discretion, edit member profiles, close topics, delete topics, move topics, act on threads reported by fellow members and ban/suspend any member without warning for serious or reguarly repeated fluanting of the above rules.

This club has been very active since 2002 and its member base is ever growing. Though it mainly caters to S13, S14 and S15 Silvias you will find that many users own other Nissan Imports as well.

Having said this, you are not the first to encounter a problem with your car and most likley someone has already asked this question on the forums and gotten an answer. Even questions about mods or the operation of something will most likely hav been asked and answered before.

Also remember that regardless of your age, sex, ride, expeirence you will be lacking the credibility that some long term users have. To avoid any flaming and general confusion/hassels please refrain from abusive postin and askin irrelevant questions.
