Got this last week! Ive always wanted to get one and after having a few Electric powered Cars and Gas buggys Its time for a monster truck!! This thing is freakin HUGE!
Its a Traxxas E Maxx 3.3 4WD - 3.3 motor, electric start Nitrometho truck. All ive done is put in a 58 tooth spur gear so it can crack 100 km/h. 2 speed Optidrive Auto gearbox (computer controlled gearbox with reverse) and fail safe.
Pops Monos on demand and cracks the front wheels up when it hits 2nd gear! Endo are possible with a light touch of brakes!
Who else got Nitro offroaders - if your keen for a bust let me know - I cant wait to go to Knox BMX park!

Rusty - can ur boss get me cheaper parts if I need it?
Things stupid the whole truck gets airborne all 4 wheels off the ground under full throttle the only thing that keeps it down is the wheelie bars.

yeah but isn't that more or a drift track?? same as the lilydale one?
Ruztek
Aug 26 2008, 09:11 PM
theres a tight asphelt track in lilydale, only good for racing cars with a LOW centre of gravity. Yeah take it down to knox and you can race me on my bike man! Hell! I didnt get first in the state so I could be beaten by a toy car! haha my parents are pissed off cos I guy I use to beat bmx racing just went to the olympics for australia.... my excuse for quitting was "im going shopping with my girlfriend" haha Meh what am I even talking about... its past my bed time.

yeh i want one of these farking expensive though.
out of all the R/c stuff you have had Jimmo which was the most fun?
Jimmo
Aug 26 2008, 09:59 PM
R/C road cars (nitro/electric) = boring.
RC 4WD Nitro buggys/Truggys = Probably the best fun - handle like a car, fast, big jumps and they look tough.
RC Monster trucks = Good for bashing, jumping, crawling - however if your new to it I dont recommend because they roll almost too easily, they dont really handle well - there just good for stupid speed and jumps etc - good fun.
Next thing I get will be a Electric Rockcrawler - Probably an Axial AX10.
7.2 NiMH battery pack for the starter/8 AA batterys- 35
And your ready to go. Its complicated, unless you have had GP R/C cars before I wouldnt reccomend getting one because you will get frustrated with it.

Yeah they are sick for jumps!!
I got a Full Anodised Roll Cage for it today - improves rigidity and protects the thing from rolling when doing mass jumps Also got a Anodised and heatsinked Engine mount for it!
Looks Porn!!

hows the rc truck going? Have you ran it in yet???? Pain in the ass running them in! Post up a video when you hit the BMX track
Jimmo
Aug 30 2008, 01:07 PM
Yeah ran it in fine, one of the best Gas engines ive ever run in - it runs sweet starts first time and goes like a rocket. Its only a pain in the ass running it in if you dont know what you are doing.
I have an Onboard Cam Video I showed a couple of the boys yesterday - its tuff when u punch it and all you can see is the sky from it doing a wheelie!! Goes like a devil!
Traxxas T maxxs/Emaxxs are used by the United States Troops in Post invasion Iraq as Bomb Scouts LOL!!!
