CA/SR Seat question

Hey, just had a quick question about some seats.
I bought these seats to put in my Silvia because I hated the stock S13 fabric, but now seeing as it was stolen I no longer need them, I just had a question about what ones they actually are for when I post the info up when I try and sell them.

I got them off a mate, and he took the out of his CA because he's making it into a track car.
From what I know they're SR seats? Because of the front seats headrests, but I'm just confused because they have the cable to plug in for the seatbelt lights on the dash, my SR Silvia didn't have a seatbelt light on the dash but his CA does. Did the SR's ever come with seatbelt lights on the dash? I also just assumed they've been re-trimmed?
I need to know, because from the little bit that I do know, the CA's and SR's have different rails? So does that mean they're SR seats with CA rails?
As for the rear seats I'm pretty sure they're the stock CA ones because of the colour, I'm just unsure of the front pair.

Any help would be appreciated!
Cheers, Brenton.

CA and SR seats bolt in the same, in fact all s13/14/15 seats do.

yours are just SR seats

Ahh, ok. Wasn't sure if they had different mounting points on the rails or anything. Cheers, much appreciated.

Cheers, I'll probs just end up putting them up as 180sx stock seats then, just strange because they came from a CA Silvia, meaning like 88-90 which is a fair bit earlier than 95 180sx. Cheers guys! :thumb:

As above, all S13 to S15 seats bolt up perfect.
FYI. You have to mod one mounting point (out of 4) to fit R33/R32 GTR seats.

the whole CA/SR seat thing doesn't entirely make sense. seats really went by year, not engine.

as said above those seats look like 95 seats.

I assume the reason why they're defined by 'CA' or 'SR' is because the CA's were made in specific years as were the SR's, and each had different styling of the interior and hence the seats were different. I could be completely wrong but I'm just taking a swing here.
As from what I'm gathering from you guys, which is muchly appreciated, they are from a 95 180sx, which is what I'll post them up as when I get around to selling them, and once I have enough posts! :P

89-90 - CA
91-93 - redtop SR
94-95 - blacktop SR
96-98 - "Type X"

"CA" was fixed headrests on the fronts, eveyrthing else is just different seat trims and door cards. Type X seat's are different I think, but they're the only ones I haven't owned.

Ca seats are more comfortable than the early model sr seats. I also feel like they sit you lower down slightly, and have larger bolsters.

But as above, those definitely appear to be 94-96 seats

I disagree. My CA seats were more like ironing boards than a supportive seat. But as above, the redtop seats had less distinguished bolters.

back in the day the common seat mod was to unclip 1 or 2 of the springs inside the back to make the seat a bit deeper, along with bending the bolster supports with something strong like a metal bar.

the bottom can be made to sit lower by stretching the 3 springs a bit

easy mods and they make the seat feel so much better. you can adjust it to suit your own body too.
