I highly recommend this trip to anyone that's into drift. Its the best fun ive ever had in drifting and the most ive ever learnt as well, I guess that comes with the amount of track time u get too...

Everyone is heaps friendly while over there, always feels like its a good community spirit, and you'll find the regulars are very free with advice if you ask.
For anyone heading over on a budget, a cheap/reliable missile can be found here: http://www.nissansil...em&item_id=2350

Paying alot there.. You have to keep an eye on Jetstar as they do Japan deals farily often and inlcuding insurance you should be able to do it all for $700-800 even including luggage space and not carry on.
Since your in SA it should be about the same price as VIC, the QLD guys have it good the flights even cheaper

Checked those Jet Star priced & still over a grand from Sydney plus then Adelaide so I'm just doin the Qantas thing for about $1060.
Sounds too hard hanging around to try & get specials & the later u leave it the more expensive the normal ones get

My gf is coming along.... Is there anything for the ladies to do locally while the boys are out on track? (shopping etc??)
Plan is to hopefully get to Ebisu on the Friday for shake down. Departing from Toyko. Anyone doing the same? / Aussie Sake meetup?

Nihonmatsu is pretty boring imo, if she wants more of a shopping place then i would go towards Koriyama, its the more popular place where people from around the area's of Fukushima head towards.
There's a VERY big Electronic shopping center there once you get off the train it goes many floors up and many floors down which is called the Yodobashi, there is also an Internet Cafe in there aswell.
I didnt get to spend any time in Koriyama during the day but at night it still has a big night life so i would say day-time would be just as good with heaps to do..
