I'm keen, after having a good practice day!
Might have to give Rod a bit more time behind the wheel though... He didn't do so well, but I'm sure he's still entering too ;)

My hscc and cams membership run out this month, so can I still do them on the morning or do they have to be done prior to the day so we have membership cards/booklets?

Or are u referring to people who are already members but dnt show up with anything to confirm this on the day?

Cheers

yeh you'll be able to pay on the day, as long as you bring your reminder for cams (as its hard for us to get complete license forms for everyone), and we can do the HSCC with the forms we have, these are easy to print out. Your right its for the people that show up and have no license or membership identification and say they do, the girls doing the sign in dont want to be held liable for non compliance with presenting these two items for entry

Yo, Please let the ol schnoodler (caretaker) know that we WILL BE REQUIRING the P.a system, he pulled the same line as they did at Symmons on me last time at Basky, "they never arksed for it or booked it so ya carnt 'ave it" (try and say it with a slightly drawn out voice and no nashers)

Important information regarding scrutineering:

You may have been advised last time your vehicle was scrutineered at a drift meeting that you are no longer required to have a fire extinguisher fitted. I have recently confirmed with CAMS that fire extinguishers are no longer required for drift vehicles but where fitted must comply with usual requirements (ie safe and secure).

This is most likely due to the way traditionalists see drifting as not a speed event. Drifting Tasmania asks that because drifting sits far closer to speed events than officially recognised, i.e. the speed of cars into turn one at Baskerville (especially the fairly high speed contacts with Armco and tyre walls that have happened at that point) we would advise people that fire extinguishers aren't mandatory at this time but are highly recommended and if fitted must be secure and properly restrained.

Please note this information is only in relation to drift vehicles.

Cheers,

Kate Lucas

Yes, the point of my previous post was to advise it is not mandatory anymore, but that Drifting Tas is highly recommending that they remain in vehicles.

Martin will also be debuting his new ca powered s13 which will be awesome, good to see he got the taste for it again after running the sidelines for a fair time
