Driver Fee:
Pro Class - $290 - 3 Spots left
Street Class - $190 - Full, no spots left

Pre-Entry is compulsory at this event.

Entry forms and payment options can be found here:
http://www.vicdrift....?showtopic=1039

Acceptable Licenses are: AASA or CAMS L2NS - No license means no going on the track!
On the day purchase of AASA license:
AASA license $50
(Can be purchased at the Winton office on the morning of the drift day. Entries will not be accepted without proof of license or receipt of payment from Winton)

Please note : VDC board members will be checking AASA and CAMS licenses, this year we will be checking everyone. Please ensure all your licenses and memberships cards are valid.

The usual requirements as always are:

*Long sleeve and long pants of non flammable materials i.e. No Nylon

*Closed footwear

*Helmet that complies to Australian Standards (has ASA or Snell Sticker)

*Car needs to be in a good condition, no oil leaks, no loose items in the car and battery secure. It must pass scrutineering to be allowed on the track!

*Working seat belt/s (give it a pull and make sure it locks)

* Every car must have the correct amount of wheel nuts:wheel studs. Get it right before you get to the track!

Basic Scrutineering Guide can be found here: http://www.vicdrift....p?showtopic=674 - There will be NO EXCEPTIONS at this event!

* FIRE EXTINGUISHERS ARE COMPULSORY AND MUST BE FITTED CORRECTLY IN THE CAR AND WITHIN EASY REACH OF THE DRIVER!

Dont miss out, on what is shaping up to be one of the biggest drift events in Victoria !

Pro Class competition:
- Given the field, we felt it would beneficial if we ran a top 32 for Pro class. Therefore all 32 drivers will be battling for the $4,000 1st cash prize.
- Unfortunately, time is a factor and we cannot run a top 32 for Street class as well and will still be run as a top 16 as orginally outlined.

Passenger rides:
- Competitors are allowed to take passengers in a vehicle that is fitted with a half cage as a minimum.
- Competitors are allowed to take passengers during the practice sessions only
- The Wheeltech passenger ride vehicles are fitted with a half cage as a minimum
- The Wheeltech passenger ride vehicles will be taking passengers throughout the day with minimal restriction
- The Wheeltech passenger ride is $40 for 3 laps
- It is upto the competitor as to how long they take each passenger in their car. Regardless of time, it will be $40

The current timetable layout is as follows:
07:00 - Driver registration by Credentials office
07:30 - Gates open, Pro class to scruternering first
08:30 - Driver breifing (All drivers)
09:00 - Pro class practice session 1
09:30 - Street class practice session 1
10:00 - Pro class practice session 2
10:30 - Street class practice session 2
11:00 - Pro class qualifying
11:40 - Street class qualifying
12:20 - Lunch, Results announced
12:40 - Pro class Top 17 - 32 battles
01:50 - Street class Top 16 battles, upto top 4
02:40 - Pro class Top 16 battles, upto top 4
03:20 - Team drift
03:40 - Dr Drift Extreme Entry
04:10 - Street class Top 4
04:35 - Pro class Top 4
05:00 - Award presentation

More details to follow, but as you can see from the timetable it is very tight and hence why we only have enough time to do a Top 32 in Pro class and only allow passengers for competitors during the practice sessions to reduce any down time.

The Dr Drift Extreme Entry comp, details for this section of the event will be announced on the day with entries being processed on the day also.

Team Drift Entry forms now up:

Entry sent :D

questions tho... the beginner section closed? which section is this as im not familiar with what each layout is called.

are you able to post a map of the driftable area's. i already know where the judged section is but i want to know if we can drift the back section also.

If its just gonna be the judged section and nothing else then its gonna be a little boring to be quite frank... i hope this isnt the case

will spectators be able to enter the gates at the same time as drivers this year? or will their friends and family have to sit in the dirt out the front for an hour again?

Hey mate,

You will be able to puchase a passenger ride on the day from the scruitineering box. You will also need your own helmet, enclosed footwear and cotton long sleeve top!

I will be doing some passenger rides :)

Motorbike shops are usually the best place to go. As long as it passes Australian Standards it will be fine.

*PUMPED*
OK, Im so excited it makes big Kev look like a mute !
Got a fair crew of Tassy peakers booked and ready for a mega road trip, even lads from the rally scene are in for the epic-ness.
Sounds like a good 4 solid entry's from the great southern land, Inc current state #1, and resident "Sultan of Slide" Josh Priseman, and winner of the latest round of TDS - And looking stronger every pass, Andrew "Consi the fonsi" Considine, and winner of RND 1 TDS and current Tasmanian Drift phenomenen, driving the angriest Corolla in town, at 16 years of age Lloyd Smith, and his elder brother, The very talented Bee-Rad Smith will also having a crack.
There is a small rumour getting around that MAYBE, just MAYBE we will be bringing the "Maddest Skidder of them, all" , and unleashing him apon you all ! (be afraid, BE VERY AFRAID !)
LOOK OUT OR-STRAY-YA WE'S COMING, AND I'M PACKING THE SH!TS AND GIGGLES !

Unfortunately I won't be entering. I was thinking about it but for someone who will put down a couple of qualifying runs then maybe get into 1 battle, unfortunately not enough track time for the costs of getting there. I look forward to doing a practice day one time though!

Biggest thanks to Moonah Auto Salvage for offering their support anyway! This is where you go to get a HUGE range of car parts!

'AUSTRALIAN STANDARD AS1698

AS/NZS1698 Certification rear of helmet

Tag inside helmet with month/year manufactured'

Is something like that ^^ appropriate?

Sorry mate its not up yet i will get onto yoshi for it, mate we do all brands, the vic guys will tell you our prices are very good we dont charge extra just because we are the only guys there, some tyres we often do cheaper than what you buy them for locally, we get good suppourt from Federal tyres so we keep their prices sharp, we also carry Neuton's popular drift tyre north of the border starting to make the way in down here, triangle's if your budget cant streach, but if there is something you want pm me and i can price you up, we can supply from all major and minor brands.

I will send you the form tmoz. I am in negotian with some tyre giants, so i can lock down some prices and get them up for all to see.
