I agree that was much more raw and exciting back then (although in '83' I was only a little tacker!). I wish it was the same to this day rather than the monotonous two horse battle we have to deal with today.

I must confess that I have a habit of dragging out the old Bathurst highlight tapes to get my fix once in every while!

Yeah I got those clips them a couple of years ago. I have no idea where they went though (hope i still have them), it wasn't the full race, just about a 2hr highlight package of the whole race. 91 and the 92 races.

That was awesome and tell your Dad he did a great job with the camera. I remember those days and what a treat it was to see some rare footage.

that was amazing, he really captured the speed and aggression of group c touring cars. You can even hear Dick Johnsons crew saying that something was wrong with the car after spending all night changing another car into his! Thanks for putting that up for us to see!! Screw V8 stoopid cars, i mean the drivers are good, but who cares about parity, cars are meant to have different strengths and weakneses!! bring back different cars!! End rant lol
