Antonio price is a big factor in differnt materials.
Dunno if the price is differnt from where they retail but if they are the same and your stupid enough to buy the cheaper one to make, cusco come out on top either way.
You would also have to look into how they are manufactured, ie with robots, what weld is used etc, this will all determin cost
I wouldnt be greatly concerned about whats made of what on a bolt in cage, especially a dash evade, from my point of view some bends arent exactly from a "roll over" point of view.
Honestly mate if you going to make yourself some bars up, ( i have ), i just used mild steel with 3mm walls. and i turned up some spiggots (this was for a cross brace) and welded the spigget in the tube which i cut to length

bolt-in= stiffness IMO, not safety, if you are worried about safety then you go to brown davis/meridian and spend 2k+ on a ADR/CAMS legal 6point weld in cage at the minimum!

Yeah, basicly the same opinion. Allthough given a bolt in is beter than nothing.
