Quick question,
Anyone know what dB levels for exhausts satisfy JASMA and how they measure them?
eg measured at X RPM and cannot exceed X dB.
Also will a 93dB exhaust be legal?

This is the closest I've got (from Jasma website thanks to google translate)

Well, that's Japan's own requirements and test standards. Once used in AU, it's stacked up against ours.
There are Jasma approved exhausts that are too loud for AU standards.

That's obviously not needed if the exhaust is gonna be used in AU.

I'm not saying it would be legal here because its JASMA approved, but if their standards were under 90dB then you would know you're safe to use it on Aus roads without being booked.

The ADR standard is going by what your car puts out. Not what the catback with Jasma requirements are. Various mods like dump/front will alter the noise volume.
Stock silvia exhaust measured under Jasma standards are around 88db.
