Hey,
I need your help.
Pls keep this in mind..... im greek,ok. my parents are greek..ok... they are quite traditional n i try not to disapoint them in any way... so i stay out of trouble...etc...

Anyway,
I was 'getting to know' (no sexual contact was made-purly conversation) this guy right, n we wanted to see eachother. so he asked if he could come over n i said yes.
Me not thinking (like ussual), just assumed he would stay in the car/up the front, n chat there. But he ACTUALY rang the door bell n came in, which i thought was very ballsy seeing as he knew of my greek background, i guess you can say that i admierd him for that. having the courage to come n meet my parents..

Or

he just didn't know what he was getting me into by comming n meeting my parents......lol

anywho, my mum n dad LOVED him. right..... yehhh, you may think that is nice. i mean dont get me wrong, i am very happy to see that my parents realy liked him..

But, now for my delema..........

we dont talk anymore (me n this guy) dont ask me why, cause i honestly have no frigan idea what happend..
BUT my mum still is asking about him....??
aaahhh, i have told her not to ask about him anymore. n i told her that we are no longer talking...bbbuuutttt nnnnooooo, she still belive's that we are"boyfriend n girlfriend" (yeh, it's cute - but not if your in my shoes)..

NOW, i HATE to disapoint my mum n dad, but how should i make it clear to them that theres nothing to be of he n i...?????

It would be much appreciated if you guys just focused on how im going to resolve this litle delema,
instead if dissing anybody(in which is unessasery).......

Thanks heaps

Its not often that parents of a chick, LOVE the guy friend

UNLESS:
-Good looking
-Wealthy himself or parents wealthy
-Well mannered and had the right topics to talk about with your parents.

Just a quick question, was the ' GUY ' greek also?

My boss is greek and he LOVES the greek history.

'i reckon just tell your parents, we are no longer together he went out with another girl and cheated on me' :) at least they will get the point..

BUT i hate to be the guy if your parents run into him on the street haahah

don't tell your parents he cheated on you.
Say he went overseas to fight in the french foreign legion or something.

Pardon my stupidity but why is bad for greek parents to meet some guy friend of yours. Do they traditionally hate none greek people with their daughters or something?

ring him and ask him if everythings ok, and see if he wants too meet up. if he says no then you know nothing is to come of it, if he says kewl sure then wammo. simple as that.

IS this really a problem? Just tell them and make it very clear.. simple. Are they really going to be that dissapointed becasue it didn't work out with some random guy. Even if they are, there comes a point where you have to start living your own life.

Go buy a men's t-shirt, write in the collar the guy's name, lets say "John."
Soak it in sea water.
Get someone who doesn't know your parents to ring the doorbell.

When the parents answer, get them to say:
"John went fishing last night and disappeared. This was all that we found. We thought your daughter should have it"

Then they drop the tshirt on the ground, or almost throw it at your parents if the fly screen door is open, then run off.

You could say he was Italian couldn't you?

Or tell your mum he came too quickly... Trust me.. your mum wouldn't want you ending up with someone like your dad.

Being female with italian parents i can see how this is a problem for you.

The reason your parents are probably so concerned is because the wog dream is for their daughters to grow up, marry a nice guy and have babies - very old fashioned and crazy i believe but it makes me feel sorry for you.

The best thing for you in my opinion is to tell your parents that you were the one who changed your mind about this boy. Tell them that you couldnt see yourself with him because you couldnt relate to him or his family, and tell them that you are really looking for someone that you know they will love. They probably were just excited that you had found a nice boy (i know wogs, they think the only boy you bring home is the one you will marry). Let them down gently and tell them that you are still young and want to make the right choice.

If this guy comes back up keep him hidden for as long as possible.
