I figured as pretty much every other uni has a thread in NS vic at the moment, i thought i should make one up for deakin, just to piss everyone off
Anyway, im starting this year, doing a batchelor of commerce - sport management. I originally had deferred for the year but plans have changed and i rang them up and reversed it so im now enrolled there as of today. I missed the enrolement day last thursday so i dont know what i missed out on there?
Anyway who else is going to deakin this year?

Another concern i have is about parking prices....mainly monthly/yearly passes on grounds.

I was at Deakin 3.5 years and finished up last year. Only ever bought a permit in the first semester I was there, rest of the time I pretty much just didn't pay except for say a 20cent ticket here and there just so it looked like I had a ticket on my windscreen. Received 2 parking fines in total which were $25 or so. Although be wary, start of the year the inspectors are a lot more active and finding a car spot is ridiculous, few weeks into it it generally eases up some more.

I was. I had my deferal letter all filled out and sent in, but then some shit changed. My mate who i planned to travel with ended up going to uni, as did everyone else, and i didnt want to travel alone. So i figured i may as well get a year out of the way and see how i feel, could defer for a little next year some time.
Im doing Batchelor of commerce - Sport management.

How about you?

Hmmm were you IT guys in room LT13 today from like 10:30 to 11:30 with all the commerce people?
I havent really seen many good cars there either yet. Yesterday saw a black s13 parked near me on the top level, and also saw a very nice silver R33 GTR. What car you driving/parking around deakin?

Im not getting a car park pass at all. I have spoken to a few people who have been going to deaking for ages. One guy yesterday said he has been there for 3 years, and never bought a ticket, and only recieved a fine twice, each time the fine was like $20. I didnt pay for parking yesterday or monday

Still hungover from the last 2 days of o'week beer

dont bother with getting a carpark permit, its only a $20 buck fine for the first offence, ive gone 2 years with no tickets, theres enough free parking around.

any of you guys in IT are going to have fun, the lectures are so annoying.

i was in IT(multimedia) , and swapped to strait multimedia.

join DUSA, then make sure to have the parma at einstiens, or dominos up the road, going back to uni is going to make me fatttttttt

ticket prices have gone up, they're like 65 dollars now.

you will get done, so many people get done for incorrect parking at the start.

just buy your pass. its only like 130 bucks or something.

it lasts you a year.

Classes start tmorrow....
However i just went to check my timetable on STAR, and its BLANK!!! When i orignally viewed it on the 12th of feb when they released the timetables i luckily took a screenshot and everything was fine. But now theres nothing there...no classes down the left hand side, and the timetable grid is emtpy, yet down the bottom it says i am enrolled in my course.

Can you guys see your timetable atm, or are they still sorting shit out with it and its not viewable by anyone? Please check for me and let me know. Im so unprepared. Do i need folders or what for the lectures? Suppose i shoulda found out about this shit ages ago
