i have the square head lights (no foggies) and for some strange reason the fog light button is wired in to turn on my parkers
well i was working on my car one day under the dash and must have bumped it and not realised
next day came out to find a flat battery

yeah i think mine still triggers the parkers as well, bumped it with my knee a couple times, got out locked the car, turbo timer still running walked into shops, come out open the car and its beeping inside to warn me the lights are on lol woops luckily it hasn't been long enough to flatten it. Cept when I was at jamboree, had the stereo going as well sitting there waiting out the rain reading a mag.. bout 20mins later, look down at the turbo timer which shows battery votage an its like 8v... good thing a sr20 is pretty easy to push start lol

Personally i dont bother using them because they don't really do much,
But isnt the main idea of them to be used so other drivers can see you in foggy conditions.
Besides i dont really know why anyone should give a flying f**k what other people do, who the f**k are you to have an opinion on who turns there lights on?

i think they're just wank value. useless most of the time but if ur on the track or on a bit of a cruise with some mates i'll put them on cos to me thats the time and place.

I personally think its just people that have a "Look at me, look at me" attitude. You dont see shit heaps with their fog lights on so its not as bad cause its usually nicer looking cars.

But still, having your fog lights on serves absolutely no purpose so dont bloody bother!

i noticed i do it sometimes.. by accident. cos the fog light button is so easily accidentally pressed and hten i leave it on after i turn off the engine and then my battery dies 3 hours later.

anyway, i think its silly that ppl always have it on for the look at me factor especially during th day but i think it's unique to silvias so you can spot them from miles away.

btw i've had them on and went past cops before - but they didn't even notice.. don't think they know wat it is.. haha

i don't really use them, but have noticed that silvia lights arent' the best to light up the road. is there a cheap way to fix it?

As far as I know its not illegal to drive with fog lights or low beam on during the day, In fact in all new motorbikes the headlights are always on, coz they are easier to see!

What diff does it make in a car, I drive with my fogs on coz when I don't I get idiots drive straight out in front of me. happened so many times before i turned them on, not anymore :)

there should be another poll option

1) I really dont give a sh!t if people drive with their fog lights on or off

this is just as ghey as thinking people who wash their cars only do it for the look at me factor.
thread should be closed

WTF are some of you people on about!?

The foglights aren't that great, they do not extend beyond the 90 degree mark and into oncoming motorists!? Are we even talking about the same S13 Here, because i think those people who are saying they are dangerous for other motorists either don't have an S13, or have never used the darn things.

The S13 default lights are shit, in everyway...headlight/highbeam/fog...even with headlight/fog it doesn't do that much.

I don't drive around with my fog lights on, but i'll be darn if i'll let some other S13 drivers tell me what to do with my car, if i want to drive with them on, i will.

I seen some idiot in his s13 tonight driving with NO lights on at all. it was just before total darkness and it was a black s13... I think i would rather look at some foggies than smashing into them.

i just dont like when some douche is fanging around with the fog lights adjusted way up so they shine right in your eyes. like cockhead commodore owners. i have HIDs in my high beams and my fogs, they f**king love it when i fire them up. some dick with a new prado decided to stick on my ass at 110km an hour on the highway, i got out my mats 240 blitz lightforce spotlight that he uses for shooting and smashed them in the eyes through the back window. they loved it that much, they had to pull over to write me a thankyou note.

i too thought this until the odd times i have bee tricked by a celsior or dc2s. my opinion is they look good but i wouldn't drive with them on.

Isn't it illegal to have em turned on a normal night?
Or is it just when they are yellow (or white?), that your allowed to have em on anyway?

well i have the J's brick headlights and they light up like f**king shit, i had HID's in em and one busted so took out the kit and put standard orange globes in.. ohh its even worse ... i drive with my highbeams/fogs most times.

i ended up buying yellow H3C globes for my high beams and it kicks arse when i have em on, also never seen any other J's headlights with foggies so figured i'd do it. Posted Image
