s13 replace inner shifter boot

Hey guys

I feel like ass today. Thought replacing my inner shifter boot would be easy but it looks like you have to be a wizard?

Do you need to take actual shifter apart somehow?

lube it up son! They just slide on/off, but some oil helps

yep, just cut the old one off, lube the stick and slip the new one on

unpossible it will never slide over the plastic ring! maybe it will tuck under - I'll try again...

Go from the knob end down.... use lots of lube.

why would you lube the stick and then try and slip the boot on from the bottom? :wacko:

Yeah going from the top would have probably been easier.. I just went hard mode from the bottom, like I said suffering from brain damage :)
